Watched this after seeing them in Mysterious Class. They have come a far away. Their acting has improved a lot. This drama actually features as episode 36 of the Treasure Map web series on YouTube. If you watch this then episode 37 - the behind the scenes, bloopers and reaction is a must watch. This was funny but watching them cringe at themselves was hilarious.
Sorry Koyama. My heart breaks for you already. Finally, we get to see Kiyoi's POV. And it's just as messed up as…
Thank you and exactly! Kiyoi's mouth says, "come to my show if you want to. I don't care either way." But his eyes say, "I need to see you at every performance. I've missed you so much!" He sees Koyama comforting a nervous Hira and his eyes say, "I'M SO JEALOUS!" but what comes out of his mouth? "Gross" SMH
What's it going to take for him to be honest about his feelings? From some of your comments about the manga I understand that a breaking point is coming. I can't wait to see this.
I cringe every time Hira idolizes Kiyoi and every time Kiyoi says "gross". 🤦♂️ I actually like both the jerk and the stalker. However, I'm thinking this can't be healthy for either of them. But at the same time there is a chemistry there which makes me root for them figuring it out somehow eventually. Then Koyama comes along and I instantly like him and root for him as well even though I know it's doomed. Take notes Kiyoi that's how you treat someone you like. I love the fact that he's low-key just as obsessed with Hira as Hira is with him.
So this is what second lead syndrome feels like? I don't like it! Make it stop please.
Sorry Koyama. My heart breaks for you already.
Finally, we get to see Kiyoi's POV. And it's just as messed up as I thought it would be. LOL. What a complex. He keeps everything inside. Yagi does a great job with the eye expressions which betray his words.
Still enjoying the series. TBH I thought they would run into trouble with the tone of the show switching from comedy to drama to romance and of course the crime thriller but so far they have been handling it okay. This is a tough balancing act as you don't want to make light of some of the serious issues and emotional aspects but you also don't want to take other parts too seriously. Half way through and so far they have been pulling it off. I'm impressed. I hope they keep it up.
