I thought this was a fun drama...love the ML! The only thing I didn't care for was the executioner storyline...a little too dark and out of place for this context.
People need to learn to separate the person from their work. If everyone refused to enjoy the craft of an artist - no matter the type of art - music, acting, literature, whatever- because of something in their personal life, there wouldn't be hardly any art to appreciate.
I really wanted to love this drama but it fell short for me... Very boring in many parts, could have done without anything having the grandfather or the fairy palace...meh...IMO, if you are injecting political intrigue, stick with it to the end. I would have liked to seen much more of the relationship between the two mains AFTER she becomes concubine because her while reason for avoiding it was to maintain her identity. I would also have liked to see her personality as a parent ... Script lacking but great cast and beautiful period costumes and sets. .
I'm on episode 11 and I have decided they should have called this "Now We Are Falling Asleep". This talented cast is wasted on this script...is it worth watching until the end?
Obviously, there has to be a second season...too much of a cliffhanger ending. I liked this drama - very interesting commentary on religion and cultism, can't wait to see how it's ultimately resolved....as long as they don't frickin kill a baby!!!!! That had me so anxious I almost stopped watching 🤣🤣
The most overrated drama in history. I dropped this after 6 episodes the first time I tried to watch it when it first came out. So, I gave it another chance and just watched the whole thing. At first, I thought maybe I misjudged it, but no - got it right the first time. It is so predictable and boring I had to drag myself through the last two episodes. I would like to have seen more of the Goryeo back story...way more interesting! Also, still just think the age difference between the two main characters is creepy...meh. After she dies, all I'm thinking is there is still a half hour left of this ... Don't waste your time.
I enjoyed this drama ... The acting was wonderful...I have to ask this question though: does it make sense their relationship would end without any kind of discussion? Especially given the whole "what's wrong?" thing? GW didn't seem THAT emotionally stunted to me ... Oh well, I will await S2 ☺️
I really enjoyed this drama..very heart warming, charming characters, well acted...they made me laugh, cry and root for them all! Plus, unexpected bonus of Kang Seung Yoon in a support role ❤️. If you want a "feel good" drama, you should check this one out. I'd love a second season 👍👍
Rewatching some old dramas because nothing new is holding my interest. This is one is so cringe it's ridiculous, but definitely an iconic must-see because of Lee Min-ho❤️ watch this and then watch Temptation of Wife of Heirs Over Flowers with Monsta X?
I've been in a k-drama slump lately, bored with everything, so I started re-watching Hwarang. Hwarang was the first k-drama I watched. Although it's certainly not the best drama out there, I have so much affection for it❤️ I'm wondering though...is there a single episode in which Go Ah Ra DOESN'T cry? ?
Dropping this because it's so convoluted I can't stand watching it anymore. It's pretty obvious our hero isn't what he seems to be, too. A disappointing drama for LSG.
OMG...one of the worst dramas I've seen ? thankfully, it was really short...and it could have been even shorter since each episode included half of the previous episode in flashbacks. Don't waste your time.
