I remember liking Wang Ziyi in Idol Producer. I was happily surprised to see him in this drama. This role really fits him. He also sang the intro song with the female lead, which is really good! Pleasantly surprised by this drama. It was an easy watch.
CSS's mother pisses me off. That woman desperately needs to get over her anger-management issues. No matter how much you 'love' your daughter. If you show her nothing but spite, it will damage her more than countless of taunts other people give her. It's been a while since I've felt so mad at a mother's character. The last one was Ling Xiao's psycho mother in 'Go Ahead' but CSS's mother is a close second.
CSS's mother desperately needs to get over her anger-management issues. Writers are good at pulling the 'I am wounded' card to make the 'young' ones forgive their elders. Still, I don't think a scene like that, will make up for all the pain Shaoshang has had to suffer. No matter how many taunts CSS has heard from others, it hurts the most when it comes from the ones you love. Her own mother has shown her nothing but spite. I'm looking forward to seeing LBY and CSS help each other heal. Though that make take a while.

I haven't seen this drama myself but one I have seen and would recommend 'The Romance of Tiger and Rose'. It's was one of my first historical c-dramas and since then I fell in love with them.
I am a big fan of both of her dramas. They both left a deep impact on me and belong to one my most beloved C-dramas. Due to her well-written dramas I started watching more C-dramas. I look forward to her upcoming project.

Gosh, I don't even know where to begin, if we were to list the reasons in which F4 Thailand outshines the Korean version. I'd recommend you to read the second review shown on this page, which does give you a list of why you should watch it.
As someone, whose first K-drama was Boys over Flowers (and who completely fell in love with it at the time), I would say this drama is like a walk in the park, compared to the suffocating, outdated and cliché scenes of the Korean Boys over Flowers.
My personal opinion, is that the script and acting of this version is just ten times better than the Korean one. The story feels natural and though this may sound weird: believable. Though the classic elements of the original story still remain, the Thai production team managed to put out fresh and modern adaptation to the story. Everything you hated about the Korean version (duration, over-acting and over dramatic scenes) is lessened is this drama and the positive aspects (F4 friendship and cute scenes) are amplified. After having just finishing this drama, I would say it also left me quite satisfied.
I hope you feel less conflicted about starting this version. If you still do, I'd say just watch the first episode. If for one thing, the humor in the drama made me laugh quite a lot.
Want to rewatch this again for the third time but need to check out new shows too! I love the feel of this kdrama.…
I recommend the drama 'Just between lovers' and while it's not completely similar, the drama 'Run On' was also able to give that same comforting feeling.
