I LOVE this season so much more compared to BxG

I haven't been exposed to any Japanese dramas that feature 'palace romance' like Korean Sageuk e.g. Empress Ki, or Chinese costume dramas e.g. Empresses in in Palace. Do Japanese often have such dramas, and if so, does anyone have something similar to recommend?

I'd say go for it! The plot itself is pretty interesting, funny, and the main actors were really natural too. It may get draggy at time, but you can just skip through those parts cos they're just dragging it out with multiple camera angles and echo-ing of OMG-words (which is pretty funny too, in a cringy way)

Super cringy but the plot is pretty serious, and kinda funny at times too.

I had the same issue with the first season as well. Seems like the channel regularly blocks its content in certain countries. I suggest downloading windscribe (google chrome extension) to bypass that issue.

What's the purpose of even having the poll in the first place then :l

I have read reviews saying that the show's plot is relatively slow paced. I'm worried that it'll end up being rather boring? Hope to hear some thoughts.

I have paused watching this show at about episode 25 ish or so cos i can't be motivated to watch through all of the political drama (especially when i'm watching w/o Eng subs so i basically don't understand anything). While i understand that the lack of lightheartedness and cute romance is kind of over because they are now a happy couple, does anyone know any of those 'type' of moments will return in the later episodes?

Just finished this awesome drama! I highly recommend this drama to anyone who liked Nirvana in Fire. It has similar themes of strategy but isn't as revenge driven. It is more of a story of a few characters and watching their struggles towards their goals. Characters in the show are very well written and full of depth, where you can see their strengths and weaknesses. Although most of the cast are old men, they really fit their role, and you'll slowly grow to love them (and there are also other young actors for eye candy too)

Though, i got to say that the pacing and story at approximately episode 30~ or so started to slow down a little.. But the pros still outshine the cons. Please just give it a try! Season 2 is about to be released soon in China. Btw you can watch this fully subbed on Youtube - China Zone Youtube Channel. From what i'm experiencing, the show is currently available in my country, Singapore, so perhaps interested fans who aren't able to find the show on YT may want to try accessing via VPN to search.
