they have completely different plot, how can you even compare them together 😭
You can compare them even though they have different stories and plots because they were created by the same person, Yeon Sang-ho, as part of his contract with Netflix. He even explained his plan, and theme, in one of his interviews.
It's no different from comparing the works of M. Shaylaman or J.J. Abrams, with their own works.
If you've watched Yeon Sang-ho's other creations, then you'll know why there is absolutely no issue comparing “Hellbound” and “The Bequeathed”.
^_^
--- Bonus:
As long as there is a common denominator, you can compare things.
* Same writer. * Same director.
Are the two most common comparisons.
Other comparisons are:
* Same actor. * Same genre.
There are also those who compare different creators, as long as, the works being compared are of the same genre. There is no comparison if you cannot establish a common denominator.
Of course, there are also comparisons of classical authors from centuries ago, with modern authors of today. What's the common denominator? Usually it's their storytelling style; or, as you've said, plot.
You perhaps heard of “you cannot compare apples and oranges”. But, did you know that there are a lot of research papers comparing apples and oranges, by nutritionists no less?
Are they then wrong for comparing apples and oranges?
Obviously, not, especially since their research papers were published in Journals.
So, yes, you can compare apples and oranges as long as you know what you're doing and understand the “science” behind making comparisons.
Wow. They both know how to kiss on-screen.Majority of K-drama kissing scenes were either “too shy” or “too…
What's more, the ML is 6 years younger than the FL. Yet he was not shy to do it. He treated the FL as an equal, as his real-life gf, hence, he was able to pull off a real kiss.
Meanwhile, the FL, although I rarely saw her with kissing scenes, she did not hold back either. She gave him a real kiss of a woman who is in love.
Now, that's what I call real acting a kissing scene. No shyness and not over-acting.
Majority of K-drama kissing scenes were either “too shy” or “too aggressive”.
That's how you do a kissing scene. The audience should be able to feel it genuinely.
The only way to do it is either (1) think that you do love the person; and/or (2) the person is your real-life partner. And oftentimes, you know how to do it when you were in a romantic relationship before, because then, you know how to “summon” that genuine feeling of being in love.
Excellent job on that kissing scene. Even though it was short, it's leaps better than most other kissing scenes in K-drama land (that I've watched, obviously).
And first time I watched a K-drama with two primary psychopaths. Two parallel stories, and the town was the only connection. That was like watching two K-dramas.
I find grandpa even harder to read, does he love his child? Does he want to control him? Does he want to make…
Oh yeah! Grandpa! One scene, he's the typical business tycoon chairman. Next scene, he's a father. Then back to being typical chairman again. 😅 Indeed, can't tell what is his agenda.
It's also not clear if he's really for the employees or just messing everyone up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And whenever he do things, it's so damn funny even though he's too serious.

I guess that settled that the king is so self-centred, LOL. He did fall from grace; and deserves to be taken down.

I wonder what other projects she's been filming. There's only one upcoming listed under her name, yet she's been out of the scene for a while.
Her appearing as a guest here is a marketing strategy to make audiences to start getting curious about her again.
They more likely have a lot a lot of projects to announce soon.
He sure knows how to act a father who isin deep pain. He makes me cry every time.

Now I can't wait what it is about. Interesting twist.
But as long as they're funny, I'm with it. Hehe. I mean, Philippine variety show is similar, so I'm used to it.
There's another thing, but I can't remember. LOL.
It's a good resolution to the unfairness of transferring her fate to someone else.
Her friend still have a chance since it was discovered early.
In the previous timeline, he left the company.
In the new timeline, he's a changed man.
It's also not clear if he's really for the employees or just messing everyone up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And whenever he do things, it's so damn funny even though he's too serious.
Best character!
