It's already episode 10, and we're still at that plot. The pace of the story is starting to give me the vibe of reading a novel. Something like:
Book 1: The Crown Prince Book 2: The Rebellion Book 3: The New King
I love it. And I hope they won't suddenly jump and fit in “Books 2 and 3”. Which is, unfortunately, the trend in Korean dramas… episodes 1-12 slow pace. episodes 13 to 16 rush to the ending.
About the serial killers - the thing is, a lot of serial killers got caught by bullshit like that. Many people…
Yeah, if that's the subtle message behind the first criminal, that's one major heavy deep premier episode! Even crazier! I mean, audiences are not prepared for that at the first episode.
It was a fantastic first episode but I noticed some flaws😅 About the serial killer, I don't understand how…
As for the phone, I think he is not a professional killer.
His background is he was in charge of ending the lives of animals, and he said that humans are just the same.
It can mean that he's looking down on humans.
Also, he seemed to be finding enjoyment, so he dragged it on without realizing what's happening.
Oh, one more reason he's not a professional, he thought that he wouldn't get caught because he got away with killing 6 others. A professional wouldn't assume that. There will always be back up plans, escape routes, and they wouldn't drag it on. ANd yeah, pros would destroy the phone.

Re: boiling water. It was just a misdirection. To build up the scenes, make the audience speculate, and during the fight scene to make the audience gasp.
Honestly, that was the craziest misdirection I've seen. It was so simple yet very effective. It was so obvious yet it worked really well.
The gardener: Yes, that would be the logical conclusion.Real SC still has his golden spoon. It's useless for him…
> From what I gathered the real Seung Chun was always good in business while the real Tae Yong was always good in art. Even when he became the gardener, he was able to use his business skills.
Yep, that's correct. Part of their switch is bringing everything who they are. The only thing that changes is their identity and 'background history'.
But their knowledge, talents, skills, it carries over. Like, as you mentioned, Real TY good in art (and piano), while Real SC good in business.
So, yep, when Real SC became the gardener, he brought with him the same set of knowledge, skills, and talent. The gardening part, he only learned it after the switch, since that part of his "new background history" is something he'll eventually acquire as he remembers his fake memories.
Like Real TY, when started to remember his "fake memories" as SC, he eventually "learned" to do some of the things Real SC does, like working at a convenient store.
> Remember the day on their birthday, they reversed back when the real Seung Chun saw his real father but the next day already switch back to fake Tae Yong. Why is that?
The Golden Spoon rule.
On their birthday, the owner and the victim, should not meet their biological parents.
Fake SC saw HHD (father), but he is not Fake SC's biological father since HHD is actually the Real Kwon YoHan.
Meanwhile, Fake TY saw his biological father, so that triggered the rule on birthdays. They returned back to being fakes at the strike of midnight (00:00)
I hope Netflix will order two seasons more while they still have time to adjust season 1.
Book 1: The Crown Prince
Book 2: The Rebellion
Book 3: The New King

Yep. Hahaha. Like that boiling water. ROFL.
I have to write notes which week is which episode in my tracker because I kept on thinking "I'm one episode behind?!"
If that boiling water shows up again in the latter episodes, that would be epic. ROFL.
The mystery of the boiling water.
The time slot it took over was from One Dollar Lawyer. ODL finished on Friday, so TFR can only show one episode (which as Saturday).
Ep2 and 3 will air this coming Friday and Saturday.

Editing room: I love these 4 shots of boiling water, include that here, here, here, and here.
Writer: That was not in the script.
Other staff: What is it for?
Director: Umm… misdirection.
Writer: Misdirecting?
Director: MisdirecTION.
Other staff: ooohhh kkkkaaaayyyy
Director: The audience will anticipate something really really really very very bad to happen around the boiling water.
Other staff: And…?
Director: Then nothing. Misdirection.
Writer: That might work.
That was the craziest misdirection ever.
