Okay I've watched the three episodes and honestly it's a little silly. For example, in episode three the teacher…
The "wait a minute" bit seriously KILLED me!!! I had to pause it and laugh myself silly over it. Those bits were incredibly stupid but they did give me a good laugh!
Super cheesy but also super fun to watch! Went into it quite sceptical but I was hooked pretty much in the first episode. The fight scenes were surprisingly badass and though the whole plot was super indulgent and cliche, it was gratifying and entertaining all the same. Some bits made me piss myself laughing because at the WTF-ness and yes, it can be cringe-worthy at times but I found myself watching the whole series in one night because I literally could not stop. So, I wouldn't recommend starting this drama if you have shit to do the next day. Put aside a weekend to dedicate yourself to the awesomeness of Kamen Teacher. :D
I saw this a long time ago but I remember being hugely affected by it. Even though some parts may be slow, the spirit of the characters has an incredible impact on the viewer. It's such an inspirational story that will definitely have you questioning yourself and your values for days after. Highly recommend.
Cannot stress how great this show is. We have a Korean drama that, for once, does not drag at all. It's short and sweet and the character of Iljimae is well developed. Even though some may think Lee Joon Gi may overact at times, I found it colourful and hilarious. He acts as not just the cool and dashing Iljimae, the accidental hero, but also as the foolish, bumbling idiot which was his original character but soon turns into a defensive mask. It's not everyday that I stick to a Kdrama due to over-complicated plots and too many characters (which is why I prefer Jdramas) and I'm glad I made myself watch this. You will not be disappointed!
I've never seen anything like this in either Western or Eastern tv/film. The filming/direction itself is artistic, different, and well thought out. The opening scene for an example is a few minutes of silence with the characters sitting around. Through this almost unbearable silence we get so much information on the characters. Saying that, the acting is superb. Sakurai Sho is outstanding in his portrayal of an incredibly unique character. I have never heard of him until watching this and now I consider myself a fan. I'm usually critical when it comes to Japanese and Korean TV since I have very particular tastes and high expectations in the things that I watch - however this drama opened me up to a side of Asian TV that I never thought existed. Everything about Kazoku Game is excellent and rivals the best US/British TV out there. You will find yourself questioning all of the characters, especially Sho's. There is no black and white here. Everything is grey and you will be conflicted as a viewer. The best kind of story makes you uncomfortable and questions your morals. It will also challenge your perception. Don't take things at face value! This is my favourite TV show so far. It's short, sweet, and f*cks with you for days afterwards. Just do yourself a favour and watch it.
Such an underrated drama. It's twisted, dark, depressing, and tense. Great acting, fantastic plot, and the ending just destroyed me. Will be watching again for sure.
Expect over-acting, super cliche and cheesy moments (that are almost in every scene), bad jokes, awkward pauses, and plot lines that fall just short of the mark. But saying that, I do enjoy it and I laugh every episode. If you watch it as an anime, it makes more sense and you will get more out it. :) Don't expect anything of substance though. This show is just pure fun.
