The only explanation I can think of about Ji Sung Joon's falling over all the time hitting the table or the glass door is that he probably still needs glasses, but refuses to wear them. Remember we saw glasses on his eyes in the flashbacks.
Not that he can't wear lenses. So maybe that's not it either.

Actually sorry, I made a mistake. This was told by the orphanage caretaker when Mr. Chae came to get her. Don't remember which episode. Young Shin does mention her bruises in episode 1 though.

In episode 1, when she is trying to save the lady from committing suicide, she tells us what happened to her. After she was found on the road, she was taken to an orphanage. Where she was adopted twice. First set of parents beat her up really badly and she had fractures all over her body when she came back to the orphanage. Second family that adopted her abandoned her, and she came back to the orphanage again. Third adoption was Mr. Chae, who took her home to his wife and who she grew up with.
Not that he can't wear lenses. So maybe that's not it either.
