There is short epilogue manga, an artbook released as a single-volume chapter, like a sequel, called Scum's wish decor. I haven't read it, but I found this about it: Mugi meets Hanabi at a concert and is amazed by her and the passion she has found. He vows to seriously find what he's meant to do in life and tells Hanabi to "hold off on getting a boyfriend" because he doesn't want to truly ask her out until he has improved as a person. He prays to God to make his wish come true so that he can be with her for the rest of his life, but their new story is just starting. As they reach out and take each other's hands the final narration is "We were fake once, we started with inauthentic love, but will it eventually become the real, genuine thing? Not even God knows, but the curtain is rising and I'm looking forward to the show." I like that ending much more than the one from the series and it would be nice if they filmed that too...
