Currently watching and the show is very charming! The story telling, pace, and ensemble cast are satisfying. ML and FL are cute. Was worried in the beginning of the first ep but by the second half I was onboard. Just finished ep 16 online.
Where are ppl watching this because it seems some have already finished but I can't find ep 17, only the "essence version" which is cut?
I'm at the palace drama now and am liking it a little less but hoping this is a minor stop because otherwise I love it so far!

for this show, I cried the most for pei sijing and her brother! I loved how stoic her character was, someone with strong morals but not stubborn to a fault so she learned about the morally grey when switching from the camp and from the situation of her brother and friends. she was definitely written as a side character tho to the other3 leads. I loved her outfits so much and the seen with the red fog was epic. I can’t fully comment because I did skip around this drama but from what I saw, she was great!

I’m kinda into PSJ and ZYZ though it 1000% will never happen. it would be really cool tho cause the predictability of the lead dynamic is a lil boring for me

SAME after the emotional rollercoaster with her brother eps 8-10 I was SO invested in her character and then they do that reveal on ep 11... am hoping that there's another twist bc I like her!

i did also start to get annoyed with the sitcom laugh music starting like ep 8

Ep 8-10&11. I CRIED SO MUCH for Pei Si Jing and her brother omg. The emotional torture kept coming and I was crying in a cafe lmao. Wishing she did get a female rage moment against Cheng Huang.

Spoiler!: I did like the twist where Cheng Huang was also a puppet but I felt they humanized him too early. I get that he killed to save his love but and i know the characters didn't really forgive him but the music really laid it on thick with the sympathy card when Pei Si Jing is standing right there and literally just walked away from her brother. Felt kinda weird to return to the humor so quickly too but maybe i'm just too emotional lol.

LOVING EPISODES 1-9 SO MUCH

The show is so unhinged with the comedy and spooky elements intertwined! really loving the found family dynamic and Zhao Yuan Zhou was so funning in the beginning What a sassy King (umbrella power remains so cool in Chinese dramas)

omg Princess Agents was one of my first cdramas IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS

it's nice seeing comments rooting for the SML (Zhang Zhe)--even though I haven't reached his pt yet really-- bc he was also SML for Bailu in One and Only!

He played a villain in that one and I was wondering if we were going to get a repeat of that in this drama too. Pleasantly surprised that he isn't or at least he has more depth and is more of a contender :D

finished ep 4! it's interesting so far and keeps me engaged
still don't really like the colors or aesthetic and think the director doesn't really have a distinct tone or color to this show.. it feels kinda stitched together or not cohesive

I have to say I hate the color palette -- the pastel pink and blue is killing me
I've finished ep 2 so I'll reserve my judgement until I've seen more but I'm intrigued enough to keep going. Hoping to see the ML and FL butt heads more lol

got to ep 5 -- I just have to accept that modern dramas aren't for me
I'll try again once it's fully aired and see if there are any spoilers that peak my interest to dig back in

i saw a possible spoiler of filming -- where it looks like the ML + FL had kids in the end, so possibly HE
