I feel the same. I was prepared for a Romcom but what we ended up with is really quite refreshing and certainly pulls on the emotional heartstrings.

Ya, that's how I feel about it too. Some of the plot is predictable but the character reactions aren't as predictable.

It's still airing but my guess is it'll be happy. I don't think they would have presented it as a Rom com if it was going to have a sad ending.

It'll be explained. Basically the restaurant people are like family. Haeng Ah's father helped him out and Ri Hwan and Haeng Ah grew up knowing them. The restaurant guy was a no good gangster. When Haeng Ah's Father passed away, Ri Hwan's mom takes her in. More gets revealed later. As for Ri Hwan's father, they haven't talked about him much yet but you'll learn a bit more about him as the story progresses.

There's only a couple more weeks of Bubblegum left, so I would suggest maybe to wait until it's over to decide if you have a lot of other dramas on your list. Not everyone will feel the same way I do about the drama, but I like melodramas as much as I like romcoms and I'm also a big fan of romantic indie films.

I think for some people it wasn't quite what they expected. If you want an easy to watch Rom com, it's probably not the right drama to tackle, but it has a great Romance, is very interesting, and is really beautiful. Thank you for commenting :)

Thanks! And I know what you mean. I thought it would be a little but of a lighter watch although the extended trailer did hint it was also going to be pretty intense and emotional. I really like it though.. Ahhhhhh! Can't wait for the next episode.

They are all movies. Daemang is a drama, but it's an older one so it may be trickier to find.

Yes. Jang Hyuk plays heartbreak very well which can be painful to watch. I suggest you watch Fated to Love You if you haven't seen it yet.
