Why is this considered a classic in the kdrama fanbase?

First of all why was this so fucking long like damn. I'm so glad we got rid of forcing every single kdrama to have 16 episodes. The story was dumb as fuck and didn't go anywhere. Every single cliche you could think of was present here. The worst of all: the miscommunication trope: CHECK!!!! YAYYYY!!!! Like we're TIRED. It's also the fact that they tried to convince me that girl is ugly because she got some pimples and glasses and when she put makeup on everybody gagging all of a sudden like no ma'am! Mun Ka Young being the fl does NOT help this show, in fact she's the reason why it was hard to keep watching and i had to force myself to finish it. Cha Eun Woo is (as we know) not the best actor either so he didn't help either. Park You Na is a good actress but her character is fake as hell so I didn't care for her either. Hwang In Youp was definitely the selling point here even though his ass was annoying asf too like he FAILED to drop the douchebag act for one second and then was surprised when she ain't pick him!!! And I was mad too!! Like that's how badly written the show is. I'm rooting for the fl to end up with the antagonist chi-

Very underwhelming and boring

First of all let me say Si Wan was the only reason this show was kind of entertaining. If he wasn't here this would've been a DRAG. I truly don't understand why y'all gave this show its flowers when it was in fact not deserved in the slightest. This was only 10 episodes long (I thought it was at least 16 episodes) but somehow went by so slow. 9/10 of the show was very repetitive for literally no reason and just wasn't needed? Like what's the point of being secretive about what's going on when we know damn well?? Like just get to the point please. The last episode is when things finally get going but by then it's way too late. The last couple of scenes were good though. The show wants to be creepy so bad but it only works in the first episode because of its subtleness. After that it just gets tiring. There was just no story here. The actors did the best they could with what they were given which wasn't much. Definitely wouldn't rewatch.

Wasted potential due to rushed ending.

Great for the first six episodes, but damn the ending felt rushed. I hate to be the one to say it, but this needed to be longer. Still, it's an enjoyable show with great acting and chemistry, but I kind of found myself wishing for better plot development and a more satisfying ending for Yumi. Soon Rok is my favourite ML of the show so far, but the writing forces him to make some questionable choices in the final two episodes, while Yumi kind of has to go along with it. I feel like the actress Kim Go-Eun didn't get all that much to work with, as her character didn't make as much progression as I'd hoped.

4/5 | B+
