Ehhh why did the synopsis change??? This new synopsis sounds so simple and boring compared to the original synopsis!!!!
Where is the reincarnation? Where is the badass female lead? Where is the palace politic drama? How did the male lead from a prince become just an imperial guard?????
I've read all of these novels except for Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes which I would be reading sometimes in the future because it's already on my to-read list. I think if all of the above become a drama adaptation, I would definitely look forward most to "To Be A Virtuous Wife" and "Sansheng".
Let's hope that the writers won't mess up the story if these novels become a drama adaptation (I still can't forgive how the writers mess up and butchered my favorite novel, A Girl Like Me).
Anyway, if I can add one more, it would be "Eight Treasure Trousseau" by the same author of "To Be A Virtuous Wife" and "A Girl Like Me".
As someone who watched a lot of youth cdrama, my favorite youth cdrama is Forever Love.
I wasn't expecting anything when I first started it because it was an impulse decision. But I'm so glad that I watched it. Honestly, they have the best chemistry and the most healthy relationship ever. The understanding of each other and the communications between them are superb.
Please give Forever Love a chance to those who haven't watch it ;)
If this is true, then it's going to be amazing. Zhao Li Ying and Zhang Ruo Yan is both an amazing actor, I know for sure that they're going to slay this drama!
If it's true that Deng Lun and Zhao Li Ying accept this drama, then it's going to be their 2nd drama together. The first was Princess Agent, although Deng Lun's character is small in that drama, they already have an explosive chemistry!
I know that drama adaption would have some difference with the novel but this drama changed things too much! The…
I totally agree with what you've said. The drama Ban Hua doesn't strike me as a strong woman at all. It's like the screenwriter didn't even read the novel!! As a massive fan of Yue Xia Die Ying, I can't accept that this drama is the adaption of the novel. I would like to think that this drama has nothing to do with the novel and that all the characters in this drama coincidentally has the same name as the novel lol. I'm in true denial at this point.

I'm sorry for the late reply, but the novel isn't available in English as of right now. Currently, there are only up to chapter 22 that are translated if I'm not mistaken.

The novel Ban Hua isn't annoying at all so I don't understand why did they changed her character in the drama to be so annoying. I definitely can't see novel Ban Hua lying to others about her relationship with Cheng An Bo in the early episode because Ban Hua would never do that. She doesn't care about other people's opinions, she would never lie just to save her face. She would instead use her beauty and richness to slap other people's faces. Ban Hua is very calm and composed in the novel.
The novel Rong Xia and the drama Rong Xia doesn't change too much but the changes that happened to him is quiet major. Novel Rong Xia would never do anything to hurt Ban Hua, he would never broke off an engagement with Ban Hua for whatever reason. Instead, he would do anything for Ban Hua and still stay by her side.
I had to dropped the drama at episode 5 because I can't stand it. In the drama, Rong Xia planned to get close to the Ban family just to get the truth about his family from the Royal Princess. This never happen in the novel! In the novel, Rong Xia got close to the Ban family genuinely because he already has feelings for Ban Hua. He knew the truth of what happened to his family and only need a confirmation from the Royal Princess, and he doesn't need the Ban family's help to meet with the Royal Princess. In the drama, Ban Hua figured out Rong Xia would be the new emperor early on and made plan with her family to make nice with Rong Xia so that their family won't fall. BUT, in the novel, Ban Hua figured out pretty late. She got the dream after she got engaged to Rong Xia, so she never did get close to Rong Xia just to save her family.
I watched the last episode and correct me if I'm wrong(because I skipped a lot of episode), it looks like Rong Xia and Ban Hua didn't become the emperor and the empress. And that's not it!!!! In the novel, Rong Xia and Ban Hua became the emperor and the empress.
I know that I'm ranting, I just need to release all this resentment that I have.
I'm a massive fan of the author Yue Xia Die Ying, I've read about 90% of the her novels and I love every one of it. This drama is her first novel that got an adaption and I was so excited for it. Needless to say that I've read this novel TWICE, and it's because I love it too much lol. And as a fan of the author and this novel, I'm massively disappointed with this drama adaptation.
I'm incredibly happy for Jang Ki Yong, he showed that he can act amazingly in "Come And Hug Me" and this drama has an amazing cast but what's with the plot of this drama? It sounds too boring!!
