I liked LMJ's character in Smile You, I like that she took the lead instead of being the usual passive K-drama female lead

Yep hes dead as a doornail as the saying goes.

I enjoyed the drama overall though it made a nice change from the usual over the top melodramas or fluffy romcoms.

I see you are watching smile You I loved that drama except for the antics of the lead guys mom about 2/3 through the drama I wanted to strangle her lol. My fave charcter in SY besides the lead pair who were adorable was Seo Jeong Gil.

I obviously didn't dissect it in as much detail as you did lol also I was watching last ep really late at night when I was sleepy so maybe I wasn't as focused on events as I should have been. And looking back now Min had the opportunity to shoot Doc much earlier at the fairground he had him in his sights then ran away.

My only gripe with the ending was that silly hint right at the end that Paksa might be alive by showing the guy in a cream/beige suit with his back to the camera. I would rather Paksa had died outright - end of story - than trying to give viewers the illusion/hope that he is still alive lol

I get what you are saying but I see things a little differently. Doc saw Min as his supervisor/mentor/father figure so it seems reasonable that he might hesitate to kill him. The police I agree were incompetent but my own personal experience confirms that that is the norm ;)

Pusans henchmen should have been better trained I grant you that for a drug kingpin his security team were slipshod lol

I had The Berlin File downloaded from AsiaTorrents ages ago but the subs were really bad. I know this for a fact as the opening scenes there is a lot of English & the translation of the English was waaaay off lol. So I waited until better subs came along and watched it yesterday. Ha Jeong Woo was amazing in it.

I loved Cruel City too, I agree I would have preferred more romance but as the lead girl is one of the actresses I dislike its probably just as well. But unlike you I don't mind if my fave characters are killed off as long as it makes sense & is true to the plot/premise. I will say no more as I don't want to spoil you. Feel free to come back & discuss after you have finished it :)

I know what you mean when I first downloaded this film the available subs were awful. Particularly as there is quite a bit of English and that was translated so badly I feared for the Korean/German translations lol. I bided my time and only watched it now when better subs were available.

Gotta give it to Jung Woong In. I have seen him in 3 different dramas playing totally different characters he is a very good actor

I have only seen 6 eps of Scandal so far. I really like it its a melodrama/makjang & some people simply don't like this genre. The first few eps are sad, again some people don't like sad dramas lol

My faves are Cruel City & IHYV...but I like all the ones in my Currently Watching List. How about you?
