Sometimes an ugly guy can be rendered attractive if he has charisma or acts well. In Hana kimi OS was just dull & emotionless so I shall reserve judgment for now. I haven't seen RMPW I saw first 5 mins of it (cos alot of people in MDL were raving about it when it was airing) I saw OS smile & it just put me off lol
And yeah I will watch Addicted I have heard good things about it.

Haha this is where our shared interests depart quite drastically I saw Oguri in Hana Kimi (which I didn't really like incidentally) & he is extremely unattractive to my eyes. I generally think Korean guys are hotter than Japanese but there are still quite a few J actors I like e.g. Yamapi, Sato Takeru, Kimura Takuya, Takeshi Kaneshiro,
Takenouchi Yutaka, Kame etc. but Oguri just NO, NEVER :p
LBH was my first introduction to a Korean language film/drama (The Good The Bad The Weird) & I was hooked. I have seen a few films/dramas. I have 2 on DVD which I have yet to watch All In & Addicted :)

Although eye candy isn't the only thing that makes me want to watch a drama/film in a romcom its a given that the male lead should be attractive to your eyes & I just cant fancy Cha Seung Won lol
I started watching about 2 years ago, I haven't been working so that means I have plenty of time on my hands. Once I start working I will probably only be able to watch on weekends :(
I felt like I needed a change for my profile I usually change it quite often but had left this one up for a while.
So who are your favourite eye candies & what type of dramas do you like I could recommend some to you perhaps...

lol maybe I was too harsh with the six for TGL. It did have laugh out loud funny moments but I dunno the leads just didn't do it for me. Under MDL categorisation 6 = fine so its still ok just didn't blow my socks off.
And I'm still looking for that dream job too...sigh

In that trip I covered Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand (Islands) & Cambodia. I missed out on going to Vietnam. I plan to go back soon-ish & cover S.Korea, China, Hong Kong & Philippines. I have been to Australia & would recommend it highly. A one year RTW trip is what I would love to do :)
When I first saw Reply it was while it was currently airing so there wasn't any hype at that time. I saw the first 4 episodes and was unimpressed. I have never been a crazy fan girl type even when I was a teenager so I couldn't really identify with the lead female. Also I didn't get a lot of the cultural references related to living/growing up in Korean in the 1990s, then it slowly started creeping up on me & by the end I absolutely loved it. I would recommend it highly just get through the first few episodes and then you will be hooked. Its a very simple story about family, friends and relationships.

I had an afternoon nap :D And I think we must have been separated at birth lol I feel the same way I notice everything Asian now but didn't have a clue before. I actually went to University (many years ago) in an area which has the highest population of Korean people in UK & I had no clue at the time hahahahaha
I have travelled on my own about a year ago I travelled through several Asian countries over a few months. I shared my adventures with my friends on MDL you can check it out here....
I went to Japan about 10 years ago & I had NO interest in East Asian guys at that point in my life lol what a waste. I definitely will go to S.Korea this year if I can only persuade someone/anyone to go with me.
I have only seen one ep of Saranghe yesterday (the lead guy isn't appealing- I needs my eye candy)

I only got into Korean dramas/culture a couple of years ago. I agree with you about the Japanese there is always that reserve holding foreigners at bay, when I went to Japan I found them helpful & polite but always that distance.
The more mature Kdramas (this is by Korean standards you understand & not western lol) where you see a little more than the frozen still, wide eyed, lips barely touching kisses are:
I Need Romance
Saranghae
Hyena
What's Up Fox?
Twelve Men in a Year
Time Between Dog and Wolf
A Gentleman's Dignity
Queen In Hyun's Man
Phoenix
Autumn's Concerto - Taiwanese drama

I agree with you about most kdramas pretending sex doesn't exist it is bizarre (although I have seen a few where they have a more mature outlook - I saw first ep of one the other day & they couple actually have a one night stand lol).
However, despite all the cliches & everything else that bugs me about Korean dramas they are still my favourite I like the culture & language best & I get their sense of humour, whereas I cant say the same for Japanese.
I have seen Buzzer Beat and I liked it I haven't seen the other 2 you mentioned so I will definitely check them out.

oh & about Pride - I don't watch much J-dramas cos I feel they don't do romance very well (Pride being an exception of course) I wish there were more dramas like Pride. I have a few KT dramas on my PTW list but can you recommend any to me?
And you are never too old to fangirl trust me, I'm probably way older than you lol

Haha high 5 twinnie :p
I recently finished Unexpected You too I thought it would be better than it was I was a little disappointed. The only people I really liked were the dad, the little kid they adopt & of course Chun Jae Yong what a wonderful kooky/sweet character played perfectly by Lee Hee Joon.
I hated the youngest sister (Mal Sook) she was a nasty piece of work. I didn't like the whole daughter-in-law/mother-in-law dynamic made me dislike both parties even more at each altercation. If this drama hadn't had Lee Hee Joon in it my score would have been a lot lower lol
Do watch Smile You though it had the best chemistry between the main couple I have seen in a k-drama & although I had seen Jung Kyung Ho in other dramas with supporting roles he truly excelled in Smile You he was hilarious. as were Lee Chun Hee and Lee Kyu Han.

Yep Ojakgyo Brothers is one of them if not for her that would have been a 10/10 for me too. What makes it worse is that her story should have made the viewer sympathetic to her plight instead I ended up hating Ryu Soo Young for sticking with her :)
The other one was Smile You although thankfully she had a smaller part in that & I also put the blame for not giving 10 to that drama on the lead males mom she was awful. But other than that Smile You was a wonderful drama, have you seen it?
Also wanted to say Pride is my favourite J-drama.

How did I miss that you had listed Choi Jung Yoon as well o_O
I loathe her even more than HJW I think lol. She ruined 2 really good dramas for me just with her presence, her shrill voice & sour expressions ugh. She is on my I wont watch a drama if shes in it list.

I don't quite know when my dislike for HJW started, I saw Secret Garden (it took me ages to finish it) & I didn't get what everyone was raving about saying she was a kick ass heroine I certainly didn't think so.
Then it was cemented when I saw her in King2Hearts OMG she does this cutesy/ayego voice off & on during that drama that just grated on my nerves lol
I dislike a lot of "famous" Korean actresses, I find them lacking in substance. I feel they generally portray weak characters (goody two shoes doormats) or either evil b****** there are a few that I like.
