I read it. the first side story is pei wnexuan's pov when they went back so its not really sad? The 2nd side story is a few years after their marriage in their 2nd life. It's quite funny actually.

I just finished the novel and I really really liked it. I finished it in 5 days lol. I really love their dynamics especially how pei wenxian treats li rong. I hope the drama will show it well. I am really excited for this one. I think 40 eps is not enough but hopefully, they can find a way to make this work.

Idk if it can be considered screwball but she was a breath of fresh air in louyang. Some of her scenes with WYB were one of the "comedic" scenes in the drama and she was so good at it. I love her.
