I saw a comment which made me understand the ending. The ending was a prologue because the girl was wearing the same dress she wore in the prologue at the beginning. And that's why the general said it's good that she doesn't remember her memories which is her father dying. So the ending was kind of like a flashback, you guys don't have to worry about it being abrupt or open ending!

from what i saw in the comments, the ending was a prologue because in the beginning the general says it's good that she doesn't remember her memories which is her father being murdered and the red clothes she's wearing in the beginning are the same as the one's she's wearing in the prologue
