Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it to me! I umm... for one have no idea how to react with this plotline lol... was the novel like this too? Or did the writers have no idea what to do with these three? I mean the only thing that made sense to me was Pang being in love with Ai-oon at first because it's possible to fall for your best friend. Even Pang's breakup with Jan made sense to me. But other than that, they made this into a shit show where it seriously looks like viewers are having trouble figuring out what's going on! If this is their idea of a poly relationship, this is not working. Pim's reaction represents us viewers actually. I would have preferred Pim playing an active role in the investigation because at least we get to see the woman in action! Here poor baby is just confused af
A big shout out for the main plot being solid though!
what in the hell are they even doing with PPJ??? Like at this point they should've just deleted them from the…
Can you please explain what happened? I only caught them kissing each other and I skipped this scene... after that layout I don't even wanna go back to figure out what happened. I just think i'm confused with this plotline
For any novel readers just how different is May in the novel? I remember before the series novel readers were…
I have personally not read the novel but I think it's mostly because in the novel May was pretending that she was blind whereas in the series we saw that she really had become blind and that she was recovering. The series made her more of a grey character than a total red flag...
I concur! I've dropped it on 3 ep precisely. Just going to tune in for PS once the story gets started.
I just watched this storyline for Poon and Marc because they didn't get enough spotlight in We Are (mostly for Poon because he's too cute). And even as a side couple, I was pretty satisfied with what I got. I am waiting for the next two couples though since I liked Junior in Cherry Magic and I've never seen Santa's work so I am excited
The only thing I am certain about this series is that the plot is getting real good but I don't know who to root for anymore... even the side love triangle (Jan, Pang, Pim) isn't giving me a clear direction lol. The only person I can surely hope would get their life back is Ben (Title) because dude just literally lost everything for no fault of his own!
I feel like imma cry every single episode now. For a first timer, I found William to be excellent. I cannot imagine what he would be capable of after he gains experience... bro is lowkey scaring me. Everytime his character appeared on-screen my heart freaking stopped!
who expected here that pang likes jan ππ lol im surprised with that xd
That came out of nowhere... and it didn't make sense to me. Like how did she switch from Ai to Jan is a huge mystery to me. Woulda loved to see a few hidden moments
Oh wow! That's really interesting! I understand if you can't turn it off either, same boat on that. I couldn't sit past episode 3 because I kept flipping, lol. But it was a show that was made and there are several impacts on the audience so I just decided to explore one angle of it. I am a hardcore BL fan but I wasn't gonna excuse the shit that was happening here... I don't mind the depiction of sexual assault as a serious topic but there is a way to do it onscreen and not demoralize any victims who happen to stumble upon this and watch it.
Alright so I was taking a pop culture class in my university, and the main topic of my paper was "A Content Analysis of the Romanticization of Assault in Thai Pop Culture." I basically compared the evolution of Thai BLs in terms of how romanticization of assault was normalized back in 2014-2018 and when the genre gained more audience, more BLs were made where the shows explored the importance of consent. As for TharnType in particular, I only analyzed episodes 1-3 because the amount of toxic shit that happened in this show is way too long for me to effectively write a detailed paper. My professor was shocked and was unaware of the issue (got a 90% on this lol). I also made a friend of mine proofread it. She was impressed and said that, "It doesn't look like this paper was written by a BL fan so good job on remaining neutral on the subject." If you have any more questions let me know! I appreciate the fact that you asked! :)
A big shout out for the main plot being solid though!
