I finally decided to bite the bullet and watch this drama, after leaving it in the Queue. It wasn't at all what…
Well said....I watched this only because I just finished watching "A Moment to Remember" and looked for other movies/dramas Jung Woo Sung was in. I use to look at you tube for top korean dramas, never seen it on a list so I never heard of it. I was amazed at how underrated this was after watching it. He is an amazing actor you would have thought these were two different actors, granted a moment to remember was years ago. He brought this character to life, the whole cast was amazing. So many layers interwining, the love not only for a woman, but for oneself, your mother, son, everybody around you, it was amazing how the story just unfolded. I do believe that some of those that were turned off by this drama, not all but some was for his very character. They were expecting the handsome hot guy, not the retarded/ almost childish like real guy and it became unappealling sad to say, but my opinion.
So besides this drama just being just excellent! ...Personally I was tickled pink with "The Moonlight Garden" what a perfect name for the place where just the mere glance by Gu Wal Ryung looking at you under the moonlight....sigh. just mesmerizing don't you think?
I must say this drama still lingers in my mind after many months and many kdramas I have watched after. For those super harsh and critical it's probably because you have seen way too many dramas and if it's not new a refreshing it's a bummer. I see the comments you hate all the typical clichés and it becomes annoying. This drama had all the typical clichés and was a remake from another drama on top of that so I understand the super harsh reactions, so to keep things in perspective....imagine FTLY as your first kdrama without any preconceived stigma or expectations and never knowing it was a remake.....hmmmm I wonder . I am willing to bet it would be on most people's top 5. Just my opinion.....so any newbie not knowing anything about kdramas but want a good recommendation. This should absolutely be your first.
I had to check out cast after only hearing boot's voice at first. I chuckled to myself because I almost thought jang hyuk (fated to love you) was playing the bad guy....it sounded so much like him without his signature laugh.
So you ask a recommendation. ..100% YES. I just finished this after doing a marathon...which I haven't done in awhile. Most dramas I can put it down, but once I got into this it was full speed ahead.l It's interesting I put this drama off for a long time because I knew Lee Seung Gi was in it. Honestly it took me forever to finish my girlfriend is a gumiho. I got it but it wasn't til the last couple of episodes....so yes I had my doubts. But boy he does not disappoint in this one. I am officially an LSG fan....trust me you will see. Enjoy!
a drama that is intriguing on so many levels. Those that thought this was boring oh well it was just black and white. This movie had so many layers. I don't even care for classical piano, but I was totally emotional when he played with the orchestra looking for her. Love, music, trust, betrayal, friendship...you got everything in this.
Soooo...people are commenting that his shouting is offensive. The doctor from its okay thats love's shouting is harsher. It's in the korean culture. I know this for a fact =)
WTF. i never thought that this drama is great !!!! . definitely a 10/10!!! i keep ignoring it at first, bcoz of…
You just confirmed what I said. ..watch and form your own opinions before listening to someone totally trash a drama. Not nice. I have seen many dramas that were so highly rated but I was disappointed but I tried to understand or at least respect their point of view and vice versa.=)
Yes.... My opinion. But like any kdrama. ..keep an open mind and have no expectations. ... that always works. Judging by your list we have some similar ratings =)
I find I cannot possibly bring myself to watch this drama. I've tried twice with this version, and once with the…
Haha.......I was totally the same way I could not get past the 1st episode. It was over the top and ridiculous to say the least, it took me 3 months I just literally stopped. Jang hyuk is not your typical Lee Min Ho, so that alone I see why people got turned off in beginning. As the reviews stated above which I totally agree. The story seems very far fetched but it's the superb acting that brings you in. Believe me I did not like jang hyuk ' s character at all but by the end I was in love. I have recommended this to many friends and family. What I always tell them pls hang in there til 3rd episode. You will see the beauty of this drama unfold...
Uh..everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but to outright bash this drama is ridiculous. It's is an excellent drama...it's everything a kdrama is all about...that's why people watch kdramas for the stories that they tell. If it brought joy, laughter, hatred whatever it's entertainment at face value. You can either love it or hate it...but don't degrade it. Anyone that hasn't watched it yet. You can choose to watch from someone else's bad advice or watch and than come back with your own opinion....and who hasn't watched a kdrama they didn't like we all have. Btw this is one of my favorites out of many I have watched.
I totally agree with yumi - dono. ...I too just recently started watching this. I should have also watched this earlier as well. It was draining to watch. Even if the ending was well worth it. I was too exhausted by the middle parts which just became repetitive over and over..it just didn't add to anything....and I couldn't even relate to the female lead after awhile. I guess back than it was the norm. Nowadays what woman doesn't stand up and fight for what is hers or at least speak the truth sooner rather than later...it was almost unbearable.
