according to Douban the drama started airing Feb 1st but I'm not sure how accurate it is.

he couldn't be in the sequel because china had a ban at that time that all dramas involving korean actor won't air which is why he was replaced.

She bought the rights years before Eternal Love even came out. She was pretty much forced and bullied online into giving up the rights. So I think her getting the screen time is fair.

I think the Ji Heng comments are a bit upsetting to hear considering how much the actress has gone through. We are lucky that she's even alive today.
