I'm enjoying season 2 as well although I see it more as its own drama than a sequel. I do honestly prefer Dylan Wang as NQ over Arthur Chen though. It has nothing to do with their acting skills. I just find Arthur Chen unlikable but I'm not going to deny he did a good job as NQ.
