@fancypants @missdaisy - Missdaisy serves up very important points. Rewatch is key here. It’s clear that this was a happy open ending. Didn’t need to end with kisses or a wedding. Not even a handhold was needed. It’s clear enough without being 100% that SS and SY will have future happinesses together. They both prove that their future happiness depends on one another. And the writers now showed us even more so in the case of SY both in the symbolism at her shop and and during the final scenes, which were absolutely fabulous.

Yes..For me the ice skating rink was the absolute best. until the last 20 minutes of finale and the “what if” montage of scenes.

A rewatch of the Love Alarm finale should make you feel better . I didn’t like JGR’s character in this show. Right from the start for some reason. But don’t let this be a reason not to watch. There are some very tender moments with him that you’d enjoy, and so much more to keep you interested.

Don’t let open ended ruin it for you. Open ended is allowing you to make the ending (or should we call a beginning?) go the way you wanted to go. Cheer up. Also - let’s hear how you would have liked it to end.

Yes - I’m moving more and more to certainty that these 2 are destined to have a wonderful future together as a couple.

I too would love to hear some opinions. here’s one of mine: After the beautiful “what if” mini scenes, Sang Su talks about a few things that they had done that are the makings of a loving relationship. The building blocks so to speak. We all know how many times it seemed that a true mutual
confession of love was right around the corner, but never seemed to come. Maybe they were caught up in the interest of being in love so much that they missed the opportunity to let it fully happen.

I have a couple other ideas but would rather hear others from the group and see if I thought about that or not.

Wow! What a fantastic and mood lifting interpretation of the finale. The more great posts like yours I read, the more satisfied I am with the way things turned out. I really think the writers did a fine job. Just the fact that it got us all thinking and TALKING about it proves that TIOL is among the best.

I must tell you that your posts are among my favorites and I’ve shared your insights with friends and family. I adore Park Min Young’s acting. In Her Private Life and also loved Secretary Kim. As for IGTYWTWIN, I started it and stopped before I got hooked. I’ll go right back in on your recommendation.
