No, I haven't. I started watching dramas very recently so I haven't had the opportunity to watch that many. The only ones I have seen him in are You're Beautiful and Love Rain. And I liked him in both. You really find him "too cute"? ROFL.

I'll definitely watch Ramyun Shop when I get the chance. At least for Jung Il Woo. :)
And Flower Boy Band is probably #1 on my list because I don't think I have ever seen a better drama than it. It's a masterpiece. You should watch it! It definitely won't disappoint. I have never heard of someone hating that show. Haha.

If you want a new perspective on Jang Geun Seok, then you should watch Love Rain. He has acted really well in that. And now he seems more grown up compared to his earlier days of 'You're Beautiful'. He has put on some weight. LOL.

I know you hate melodrama type dramas, but try Love Rain if you can! :)

No, I haven't seen that. The title itself is too depressing. I don't mind sad dramas but I get bored if I am supposed to feel sorry for the main characters all the time.

I see! And I really don't know how Flower Boy Ramyun Shop is. I watched the second series Shut up Flower Boy Band and it is among my favorites! But not too sure about Ramyun Shop. I read a lot of criticism about the main guy. Is he that bad a jerk in it?

Koizora (drama) was just alright. It drags and bores a lot. I can never watch it again. I've heard the movie is much better than the drama. But since I know the story, I have no interest in wasting my time over it. And I agree that it is very childish. LOL. I cannot see how the story could get any better in the movie.

I don't know much about that drama! Did you enjoy it?

I don't mind watching depressing shows, but they have no rewatch value at all. I am talking about Koizora here. It is a Japanese drama (not sure if you watched it).
Have you ever rewatched 49 days?

I saw Jung Il Woo in 49 Days and oh boy... he's so cute! I also saw Jung Yong Hwa in You're Beautiful and Heartstrings and loved him in both. :-)

I find that the story of Painter of the Wind is very compelling. Imagine a girl who lived all her life as a boy, and after she falls in love, suddenly yearns to be feminine and be loved. I think that perspective is really very beautiful.

I hope what I understood from reading the summary is not wrong.

And I am not sure if I would like Mary Stayed Out All Night that much since I have only read bad things about it. The fact that two of my favorite actors are in it seems hardly helpful because I can't stand overly cheesy.

Hey! Thanks for the request.
I see that you like Jung Il Woo and Jung Yong Hwa. I like them too! Very pretty boys they are... lol.

That is a good way to watch sad dramas! :D

Of course, in 49 Days there is a good message. And that is about appreciating the life we have. I kind of got that pretty quickly. And I do know that Ji Hyun dies and Yi Kyung turns out to be her sister or something(?). Anyway, I was not annoyed by the story at all. I just kind of started watching other dramas and kept this one on hold. But I will definitely finish it. I don't drop dramas until they are beyond terrible or boring to the core.

I usually get a very good idea about dramas just by looking at their stories or watching a couple of episodes. :)

I will complete RP too. I am just not able to decide if I should go with that first or 49 days!

When I read the story of Painter in the Wind, I got so impressed by it. But then I googled and found that she is in love with such an old man. It was very disappointing for me because otherwise it could have had been such a good show. Especially with Moon Geun Young. Oh- and have you seen Mary Stayed out All Night?

And I see that you enjoyed My Little Bride. Moon Geun Young is so adorable, isn't she? I find her to be one of the cutest actresses on this planet. When I look at her she makes me go 'awwww'.

If you like complex shows, try Brain. I have only seen three episodes so far but all the characters in it are super mature. It is a medical show and about over-the-top ambitious surgeons and their complex lives. I am might continue it for curiosity sakes, but it comes off as 'boring' for my age. BTW how old are you? :P

Korean dramas are driven more by emotions. I agree about that. But I feel that Japanese have much better story lines and characters to offer. Their dramas hardly ever feel cliche.

Whereas Korean... well rofl. You can pretty much guess who ends up with who in the first episode itself.

Oh.. is that so? Well, I have only seen Sungkyunkwan and Queen In Hyun's man among historic dramas so far and loved them both. I have only seen one episode of Princess' Man so far and liked it. But I agree that there are too many episodes in such dramas.

By the way, which dramas do you prefer- Japanese or Korean?

Have you seen Sungkyunkwan Scandal?? It is a must-watch show.
And I have high expectations from Liar Game.
