Yeah he didnt tell Lada so i can see your point, but he never tried to justify her behavior or gaslight lada into agreement with the mom. Most "good" parents are still siding with their spouse in gls and he didnt for the most part

I don't really agree with this. I feel like it's pretty split on which parent is the trash parent in GLs. One good example is TSoU, Lada's dad was awesome and her mother was the problem from start to finish, her dad didn't even take the moms side once that I can remember, and always fought for Lada when it came to the issues between them

This one was actually worse than they normally are for me. We didn't even see the mom be remorseful or apologize at all. Just an immediate flip after Rey credited her for the award. It played off like Rey publicly apologizing to her mom fixed their relationship, when her mom is the one that was the issue

It's on TVING so it's going to be a weekly show. Only Netflix, Disney etc originals have a chance at being dropped all at once

Exactly this. Or AT LEAST give it more of a redemption arc. In 3 scenes with the mom, we went in order

1) Her being extremely satisfied with herself and smiling that she tanked Print's career
2) Her watching her husbands affair become public, even though she already knew
3) Her wholeheartedly accepting Print into the family

Like, what the f happened? She changed her entire demeanor as fast as you can flip a light switch. She was the main problem for 10.5 episodes, then immediately she's good. Way too jarring

There's still like 7 weeks of episodes. It ends late Nov

It's still a really good show, and she has a lot of screen time. Even though she and Praew are labelled support, they're realistically 2nd leads and are not quite half, but pretty close of the screen time

Why do shows always feel the need to justify trash parents behavior?!? It's so f'ing annoying. Yes, her dad is cheating on her mom and the grandfather hates her mom, and I'm not justifying the cheating, but is it really that shocking that they hate her when she's that much of a controlling bitch to everybody?

Air handled it pretty well considering. She was hurt that Pure moved on, but was really just like "it is what it is" and decided to be happy for her as much as she can, until she found out that it was legitimately the one person that would make it hurt even more than it already did

I agree, but I think it's going to pick up again. The main premise of the show is what ep 1 and 2 were, 3 and 4 were slower, but introductions and backstory that was needed for the show to move on. I think ep 5 is going to be a lot closer to the first 2 than this weeks

Yeah I completely agree with you. I didn't find it weird, and I just meant if one paid attention to how they handled the matter, they did it in a way to dispel the weirdness of it.

What you said about GL watchers only being there for the love scenes is so true too. Some go way too extreme on that imho.

That would have been fine as well actually, I just didn't like the fact that they had a short ass post credit scene for a "happy ending." That one scene is honestly my biggest gripe about the entire show lol

I think they covered it pretty well in the show. They were planning on waiting until switching back because it "would be weird" then got to the point where they couldn't wait any longer. And that scene was performed in a way where they were caressing the body they were in intimately with the real body owners consent, so their first real time with each other was actually the mind of the person caressing the body of the person they love and not their own body

The breakup makes sense in a way because they both needed time to get over the guilt and hurt of what they did to Air, but 2 years seems way extreme for that. It should have been a couple months at most imo.

They also should have extended the happy ending more, or removed it entirely. When the credits rolled the first time with Pure looking over and smiling in a way to make it obvious she saw Loft, I think that would have been a better ending than a short post credit scene and that's it. Open Ended or Happy Ending that's more than 2 minutes would have been way better than what they wound up doing imo.

1-7 was an easy 9.5. After ep 8, I'm giving it a 9.

I think 20, but definitely early 20s at the oldest. She only lived with the chairman for a short time before he sent her to NYC for schooling because the stepkids were hostile towards her

That whole scenario really didn't make sense. Grandfather doesn't do online transfers and pays cash, fine that's relatively common with Boomers. That's the only thing that made any sense in it.

But assuming Yeong Ran stole the petty cash doesn't makes sense and then what actually happened is the principal forgot she paid the utility bill. She would likely pay online, and if she paid cash how can she not remember going to the utility office to pay for it with cash? I can see forgetting that you made an online payment, but not something that would have taken actual time and effort out of your day to do.
