And Liang Yong Yi is back to being a Bad SML!!! Why why why must you and Chen He Yi do this!!! I keep thinking Perfect match was their salvation....but no. Che Zhe Yuan why do you do this....first Chen He Yi and now Liang Yong Yi!!!!!

But despite this comment, I still think the trailer they dropped was good. It was better quality than I expected, Perth and Santa looked great...I'm sure they're still working on the effects and storyline but they appearance and styling was good...much better than I would expect for a test pilot. So I am hoping and praying that they actually follow through and make this!

This is very true, I recently stumbled upon the first pilot of KinnPorche where I think Perth (who ended up playing Ken) was playing Tawan! And some other guy played Korn and all their costumes and hairstyles were not as goregeous as the final product. I had only seen bits of this one before not the whole thing. It was a total different than the final product. Porche's tattoo was also different. I think it's better to see if you like the plot and the main leads...all others may change depending on the hype it gets and people's comments.

This is great. It was cute simple story but had great emotions!! And the FL and ML had great chemistry!! It's was also epically funny. The FL was badass and the mouth on ML was great!!!

I had initially thought the actress just wasn't very good as this was one her first dramas I had scene and I know Zeng Hui has excellent chemistry even with actress that are not his wife...so the lack of that I felt was her fault but I have since seen Deng Ling Shu in other dramas. She is awesome and has done some varied character with good chemistry with partners that don't seem rigid and like she's being forced. So I have to blame the script and direction of this version, because even in other versions, though initially reluctant, the FL usually become more enthusiastic. They made FL too timid. I also felt the fl needed rescue a little too often. The other versions I had seen of this seemed to show him stumbling upon her standing up for herself (her 5 years away making her stronger) and then stepping in for additional support. I also felt FL wasn't as firm in her liking him and they waited until the very end to show how long ML has liked FL for. Here until she proclaims her love for him at the very end, it seem like she was only with him for the deal. I wish it wasn't at the last second; rather, I wish we had seen more of them being together after they had private declarations to at least each other. Also the whole thing with him announcing her as his girlfriend and then the brother deciding that now I have to propose to her also shows bad continuity. Also overall they relationship kept regressing and not showing her realization of feeling, or hiting at it and then back tracking.
I liked that they made him be the one to swoop in to save her all the time which was there to make her realize that her feeling towards her brother was gratitude and that towards He Tingzho are love...but that realization was never stated...cause they removed the ex-fiance of the brother/He tingzhou's cousin becoming her friend as they made a typical scheming woman. I really like that character in the other versions.
Also, the aunt's side plot, though interesting (as I learned that it was in the original novel), and it fit with the more military He Ting Zhou, just felt too sudden and rushed. I liked that he was more of a soldier, an interesting touch, as in other versions, they only mention it in reference to his dad. Also, they kinda erased the friends from this version; the brothers' friends and her friend, who she is working for, barely got any screen time. It was like they were non-existent and they gave too much time to her green tea cousin and the press conference. It was like they just did everything to hype up Zeng Hui's character while making everyone else background noise.
Also, her adoptive mother really seems to hate her in the beginning, whereas in the other versions, she's worried about their reputations and knows her feelings. Though pushing her away from her brother is never insulting to her face or hits her...so this mom was not the best. So when she seems to accept her in the end as her son's potential wife, it seems weird.
The entire drama had a lot of continuity issues, such as plot points not being resolved or character growth being very abrupt. Also, the scenes were a little stilted, like the blocking of them was off, a person would fall b4 the ml would kick them, and even then they wouldn't fall off the balcony with how far away from the edge they were without falling through the glass, which made it very weird. He kicked people a lot, but the timing was always a second too late in the beat of the scene. Like someone was hesitating, it was there in other scenes, too, where the dialogue wasn't in time. The lighting was always warm but dark, giving the scene a mysterious feel, but it sometimes made the scene fuzzy or foggy when it should have been clear. Also, towards the end it seemed like she was taking him to have their own private celebration, and then it was like they were kicking out a bunch of people, none of whom seemed like any of the friends from b4.
Also, why in the world was Zeng Hui's make up so caked on and pale???The makeup was so thick that I was worried she was having to eat it while making out. Also, they could have worn his outfits more casually outside the office, but he seems to be in a 3-piece suit, vest, and tie outside.
I was so excited when I first saw a clip for this but extremely disappointed with the whole thing. What I would like is a remake with this same cast because the cast is epic with a better script and direction, and way less makeup.
Even with the excellent cast, this is one of the worst versions of this plot. The story was disjointed, their chemistry was nonexistent, and the scene tempo was off. Like dialogue or movement was not on beat and was later than it was supposed to be. Terrible direction for all the money they spent on fancy locations...more in spoilers below

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d03_ErOdVa8 this seems like a ancient version of that...so not sure if they are doing the modern one...Li ke yi is the lead but doesn't have any of the grandsons! It also seems like it will be a series...
