We Are All Trying Here will get dragged on social media because it is too intelligent for the general viewer to…
It goes without doubt that these kinds of dramas aren't for all to love..they have a specific target audience and IAM glad to be part of that audience...
They said that the characters in this show are portrayed to be humans they don't fall in the black or white criteria but rather are in the grey areas of life people driven by jealousy greed desire and all feelings involved in fighting for their place in the world..
This is exactly like I pictured it from the trailers, the dull and gloomy setting that's also Cinematic, the deep and thought provoking dialogues, the raw acting...the way it's paced to slowly draw you in and send you on a roller coaster of emotions like we don't know much about these characters yet but their wounds are already visible for us to see and hope to know all of there stories soon.
Huijus need for acknowledgement from her father was dismissed as greed, which she made her entire personality not because she's greedy but because she wants to show him and the world that she's truly worthy of all the things she desired and can work hard to earn them.
Behind this strong independent smart ambitious woman is a child still trying to prove her worth and earn her place in a world everyone says she doesn't belong too.
The kissing scene… why IU doesn’t kiss back her male lead ? Why she is always surprised and open her eyes…
she had to be surprised....that's the point it's literally episode three and she for now doesn't feel him that way so obviously when he kisses her she's bound to be surprised..are you watching this really.
Huiju is surprisingly layered, Sassy, smart hardworking, witty and funny but also trying so hard to prove her worth and despite having it all still has that little inferiority complex that creeps in on her despite that she maintains her farcade stays true to who she believes she is while trying to show the world and herself that she is infact better and deserves better....I love how's she's written...so far she's carrying.
I must say Iam also intruiged by the queen, her presence is domineering IAM waiting to know more about her because so far she has that aura about her that definitely commands a room, her insecurities are clear and she isn't the best person and she's doing a great job at showing that..she's driven by something we know little of so I can't wait for her character to unravel
So far I find these two characters decently written.
Another drama added to the list of Go Young being paired with actors who don’t match her visual. It’s not…
She's matched with talented actors who help her in elevating her acting if the looks bother you so much them feel free not to watch...she respects her co stars and gets along with them perfectly....the issue here is clearly you and your judgement about looks....with all due respect don't watch a show if the looks aren't at par with your standards after all that's all thats mattering to you at the point.
Episode one was decent, the pacing was fast enough and the characters were all properly introduced, I love Huiju and can already tell that I'll be rooting for my girl, Prince An needs to do a bit more for me but it's the first episode, so far it feels enchanting...can't wait for more.
damn
Strong start for me.
