You all realise that right ? ML was terrified of FL in his school days thinking she was bullying himThis FL character…
All the issues you have raised were misconceptions and misunderstandings and they talk them out and both realise they were wrong about each other..they don't get into a relationship untill they clear those up...
My standards have been raised so whatever cdrama comes after filter needs to be good..like Soo good...give me another drama that is deep and thoughtful yet funny..with interesting flawed characters...lots and lots of humour..great dialogue..perfectly paced...I can go on...
i don't care for any kind of ratings...but Iam glad it's doing well enough on mainland to score and 8.4 on Weibo…
MDL ratings are biased so I stopped caring and I instead go with my personal opinion though it's unfair...at the same time it's also great to see a drama you love flourish but things bias and trolling and hating exist in every ratings system..that's why I don't care about ratings but rather my personal experience..and my own ratings...but Iam happy the douban ratings did justice to it because it deserves more love
Who needs MDL's biased AF people's ratings when the rating is huge n highest with huge number of raters where…

In episode 26, I was struck by how effortlessly the drama shifts vibes. We are faced with the confusion surrounding her invisibility, and the tone quickly becomes somber. However, this sadness is beautifully balanced when they head to dinner, where a lighthearted moment unfolds. He sneaks some food for her, and the parents catch a glimpse of the chicken floating, leading him to cover it up as a magic trick. This clever interplay between emotional depth and humor is one of the drama's greatest strengths. It tugs at our heartstrings while seamlessly infusing moments of levity, creating a well-rounded viewing experience that keeps us engaged and entertained.
I find it really interesting how this drama incorporates different types of comedy, and I’m genuinely thankful that, despite its deeper themes, they put comedy at the forefront. There’s intentional comedy, where moments are clearly designed to make us laugh. A perfect example is the fight scene where Tang Qi rushes in with a broomstick, telling Fang Jin to leave, only to end up getting beaten up himself. His dramatic scream about the broomstick being his weapon is hilarious! Usually, this type of comedy can feel forced, but the way it flows in this drama feels so natural, thanks to the great direction and delivery.
Then there’s "unintentional comedy," which sneaks up on you. You’re not even meant to laugh, but you do anyway. A standout moment for me was when Tang Qi asks SCC and Lin Yuan, disguised as a granny, to reenact Quan Shengtang’s death. It was so unhinged that I found myself laughing out loud without even realizing it! The drama is filled with these kinds of moments.
Finally, there’s the most sensitive type: dark or black comedy. This kind of humor tackles serious themes but presents them lightly. I often feel guilty for laughing at these moments, but they’re so well done. An example is the scene where SCC plans a fake funeral for Su Miao. It’s heavy for those who don’t know the context but comes off as a clowning moment for those who do. It’s fascinating how the drama balances these different comedic styles while still maintaining depth.
