Take me back to the time when dramas got credit hype and praise for actually having quality scripts rather than depending on the fame of the actors and actresses....like it's being done these days.
This drama was good at the start but later if Cleary started to become visible that the talented actors and actresses were carrying the show on their backs with their incredible acting.....I mean hearts off to them for being able to work their way around this script and actually leave an impact.
If any one deserves praise then I praise the production team, the actors and actresses especially Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji won and then I praise the artists that came together to give us an unforgettable ost list as for the writer........be thankful it all managed to work out in the end....

It was a good ending they had a kid then they took us to years later where Haein had finally died after fifty three years and Hyun Woo was visiting her grave.......

That ending would have been even more wholesome if the crisis these two had to overcome was just fixing their relationship and rediscovering their love in addition to female leads illness what Iam trying to say is I just needed them and their relationship as the main focus of the drama even if that meant that the show would have been cut down to ten episodes.....the whole makjang concept that the writer included the unnecessary family struggles and the company politics sort of left a sour taste in my mouth.......either way for the amazing cast and acting and chemistry and that beautiful ending I'll give this an 8/10 thanks for the beautiful and frustrating weekends.
The ending especially that last minutes were beautiful..they didn't leave us with they lived happily ever after but rather they lived happily for as long as they were together and he still loved her even when she was gone....Iam glad their love lasted for all those years! Well despite the short comings towards the end...the finale especially the last few minutes were memorable.
Update your reviews guys...one of the top reviews of the show is one simply describing the first episode and showing that they have watched all the sixteen......
also guys after QOT ends whats the next drama thats gonna air on netflix?
A typical family a jtbc drama premiering on 4th May that's replacing qot on Netflix as for TVN weekend time slot it's Midnight Romance in Hagwon coming on 11th May
I understand that the writer wants to create more angst and also to make this Melo and emotionally captivating but this is getting a bit out of hand...like come on....thank God it wasnt a white truck 🥲 either way this drama has failed me with its lazy writing and the writer creating more problems just when you think she's going to solve some.....sorry but all I want is a happy ending...this should have been 12 episodes that way the writer wouldn't have had the chance to drag the plot on and ruin it's originality
Sorry for the rant but a word of advice is if you haven't watched episode 15 then don't and watch it tomorrow with EP 16.
It's actually sad that dramas of this kind aren't common....like they are there but some are unpopular or underrated or not exposed to many people....we need more dramas about life, dramas with relatable characters and relatable stories and we'll thought out dialogue in addition to good acting.......I don't know about many but I feel a special kind of comfort from these kind of dramas.....and if well written then that would be amazing.
I know the ratings aren't stable yet but i hope they increase as far as things are going.....
Zhou yutong has to be one of the Chinese actresses who has the ability to give life to her role even with the most subtle expressions and acting....she's a natural....and it's seen from the fact that her character in this might look simple but has alot of depth in between....either way it's no exaggeration that she's one of the best actresses.......
