True I was also taken aback by Lee Dahee’s comment about the contestants sounding ‘so Gen Z.’ To me, it felt like an unnecessary and slightly dismissive remark. It get that it’s good to have differing opinions, but labeling an entire generation’s sound and behavior off of those little interactions can come across as insensitive.
