You don't have to be a drama addict to do some of those things.
Just a few days ago my lil bro( 9 years) came late to the table and we waited for him to start lunch. He came in and before sitting down he put his hands together like for prayer, nodded his head and said Sorry.
My sister was all like: Why do you have to apologize like an asian?
Sometimes he does it with one hand. When asked he said that he just liked that gesture.

I also do minimum bowing if I enter a room late not on purpose, but it happens.

Hello, if you are at home use a spoon to mix your insatnt coffee and don't use its package.
I loved City Hunter, but that ads were horrible.
And the phone palcement in School 2013. In one scene Jang Na Ra bends her hand in an unnatural way so that the phone in her hand can be seen from behind.
As you youself mentioned Flower Boys are a part of the history of some asian countries. Take it for the japanese. As women weren't allowed to perform on stage( Kabuki, No etc.) men wou could play the female roles were in high demand. They always got famous and were loved by the audience. So its natural that asians like the girly look. As for Europeans and Americans in their cultur you can find Thor, Mars, Gladiators etc....its not that unusual for them to stick to their past.

The rape thingy....did you know that most countries issue a lower penalty for rape than for taxevasion?
Rich ppl really get away with unforgivable stuff as long as they aren't celebs and focus of media.
Which everyday housewife would have forgiven her husband as Hillary Clinton did?
No matter how unbelievable they look, dramas just somehow exaggerate reality!
What I feel uneasy about in drama is the taking away someones kid and raising them without anyone asking who the real parents are.
