its not a weird question, but when I watch drama with my bro I translate it simultaniously. When the dialoges are too long I just stop and translate it to my lil bro. Of course that is just for the dramas that are appropriate for a 7 years old. Dramas that are okey for a kid mostly have simple dialoges.

I´m also not a PC expert...;)
