Le yan wanted to give that amulet to Shu Yu But Hao du was the one who picked up the amulet (It somehow represents destiny) but its not 100%
And she did not see the face of the one who saved her

And about Le yan afraid from Hao du
Le yan before get kidnaped She was still afraid of Hao du, but she still wanted to protect Shu yo against Hao du

And About liking
Hao du was the one who saved Le Yan from drowning(ep1). But then Shu Yu was the one who woke Le Yan and Le Yan thinks that Shu Yu saved Her.
So Hao du probably had feelings for the princess from the beginning .

In episode 27, Hao du told Le Yan that it was heaven's destiny to take that amulet.
Hao du looks cold, but he pays a lot of attention to the princess. Hao du, after seeing Le Yan's changes, asked the princess that you were no longer afraid of me. I think he did not return the amulet because of this (Le Yan's fear of Hao du)
