There are only 12 episodes out at the moment , I have watched them all and until now it doesn’t really have any romance at all, now no one knows what is going to happen in the next ones though.

I think that people tend to compare this drama too much with my roommate is a detective . Yes I know that it’s basically the same theme with the same actors but guys these 2 are still different dramas . If you keep comparing them you won’t be enjoying this one so much because you will keep thinking how the previous one was . I personally like to see how this drama is more on the serious side and not wasting time with some unnecessary romance or other things . I think cases are also longer 3-4 episodes because they give us a lot of details , which are needed . Now to be honest the Agatha Christie previous adaptations can be like over 1 hour long for 1 case .

They’re not related . They’re made by the same company , set in republican times and with same male leads but the stories , location and the rest have nothing do with my roommate is a detective .

You said the characters have the same names , then how come in my roommate is a detective Hu Yitian’s character was Lu Yao and now is Situ Yan . Please stop spreading fake news regarding this drama , I saw this page also noted this drama wrong as being the second season. If you personally do not trust me I advice you to watch Avenuex’s video where she specified this thing .

I don’t understand why you’re talking about season 1 and season 2 when this drama is not a continuation of My roommate is a detective. It just happens that it has the same actors as male lead and it’s set in the republican times with detective theme . However the stories are not connected , the characters are also new ones , from what I heard based on some Agatha Christie novels .
