completely disagree with you. This isn't what you call cliche at all. Pointless love triangle? Ji Ung liked her…
I already have watched our beloved summer!! I loved it so much that I watched it twice in a row and I cried just as hard the second time! I think our beloved summer was better the second time around because I knew things that I didn't know the first time that allowed me to see things in a different light!

Don't give me ideas, I just finished. It was peeeeerfect!
It really was perfect! I can't decide which kdrama I like more between this and it's okay to not be okay. I watched both twice in a row! Both made me cry but I think IOTNBO is sadder and because of that I cried so much harder! Especially at the end!

You should rewatch it lol the ending is too perfect!!! I'm trying to decide what's next! Maybe may I help you?!

If you liked this though you should watch first love!!! What an amazing jdrama!

Just finished it, it was very good, not what I was expecting to be honest. I thought it would be a quirky romcom,…
I thought It's okay to not be okay ruined all kdramas for me at first! I finished it then the next day I tried starting move to heaven and couldn't stop thinking about it's okay to not be okay so I just rewatched it. After the second time watching, it was easier to move on for some reason. I ended finishing move to heaven and watched a few others and ultimately ended up here! And I am now rewatching this for the second time and I think it might be better the second time around because I know things that allow me to look at this in a different light and it makes certain parts so much more emotional or that much more meaningful!

I think this is definitely a healing/trauma drama but it's just as equally a romance! The entire series is about the ML and FL getting over their trauma together and being together. They were highschool sweethearts and each other's first loves and after all that time they still love each other.

SPOILER AHEAD!!
The sad thing is that they were meant for each other and were actually perfect for each other but the FL had some issues that tore them apart and left the ML broken. They could have still been together if this weren't the case is what is sad to me!

What a beautiful ending though! IOTNBO is leagues ahead of this and that says a lot because our beloved summer is fucking amazing!

Title Our Beloved Summer Spoiler
How about "it's okay to not be okay"?
Well there is 25 21 but the ending sucked! There is also first love(jdrama), our beloved summer, move to heaven isn't a romance but it's just as emotionally engaging ...nevermind! I don't think anything is as emotionally engaging as IOTNBO! I watched that twice in a row and cried throughout the whole series both times! I cried hardest at the end! Snot pouring out of my nose and tears pouring down my cheeks! Move to heaven definitely is really good though! But you should try first love!! The best ending ever!!!!

Please guys, I can't stop thinking about this drama, I desperately need something like this !! do you have any…
Maybe some movies like: man from nowhere, a company man, a night in paradise, and possibly the witch part one and two as well as spiritwalker. Spiritwalker is more action than pain and or darkness.

What a beautiful summarization! It is definitely eye opening for people who didn't realize what was actually going on but it seemed pretty obvious to me but maybe that's because I love these kinds of dramas! It's okay to not be okay is absolutely favorite of all time! Your summarization makes me want to rewatch our beloved summer!!

There is definitely so much more going on here than you seem to understand and I feel bad that you couldn't take in this series like I did! I cried throughout the entire series and I felt sad, angry, warmth, and everything in between! I actually watched it twice in a row!! I loved it so much I changed my lock screen and home screen to the cover! I changed all of my social media pictures to this cover photo of IOTNBO as well!

As someone with complex PTSD which usually stems from childhood trauma which is one of the key aspects of this series, I isolate and push people away which Gang-Tae did in the show. I was severely abused from the age of 4 until the age of 14 while in a government run facility. They broke one kids arm, I was drug down 2 flights of stairs by my hair, smeared across the carpet when we got to the bottom, then flipped over and was nearly choked unconscious. This kind of stuff went on for years! I had issues with my mother too because she was a drug addict and got involved with heroin. Which causes trust issues and compounded with my complex PTSD, worsened my isolation and trust issues! For some odd reason I always date toxic people and I just want to be loved! I don't want a toxic relationship that ends badly but it always happens which makes me isolate even more and to the point where I just stopped dating!

I think you don't realize the kind of trauma these characters actually experienced! Mun-yeong and sang-tae witnessed a murder and Mun-yeong mother was abusive! Neglectful mother's can cause narcissism in men and idk what it does to woman but I'm sure it's not good! Imagine what abusive mother's can do to a child?

It's a beautiful story because mun-yeong was gang-tae's first love and gang-tae was her first but mun-yeong's mother got in the way and ruined it for them! They were abandoned by their parents and we're orphans too! These types of people don't want to be alone and they just want to be loved! I know because I have no parents, no grand parents, no aunt's or uncles, etc.

They lean on each other and grow to heal and become better! A lot of us with complex PTSD don't get better! I deal with anger issues and severe depression and I will live with that for the rest of my life!

Not only are these types of people attracted to each other but they know who each other is and they were each other's first love - they know that! The other has what the other wants and the other gives what the other needs! They were perfect for each other!

You should look into complex PTSD! It's a very sad and painful condition!

You don't need to put yourself through that! Why reflect on something that bothers you that you are ultimately able to avoid? Just don't watch those movies! There are movies from all over the world that portray that countries culture, morals, and ethics. We have so many to choose from: Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, Korean cinema, Chinese cinema, even the French make some good gore horror movies!

You know what I just finished watching? It's okay to not be okay! You should watch it! It's so amazing! It made me cry so hard for the entire last episode. I cried throughout the entire series but I also laughed, and gasped, and fan girled too! It is my new favorite kdrama and I think it's going to be hard to find something better!

It's weird because I feel like it left a hole in my heart that I am trying to fill ...fill with another kdrama of similar quality lol maybe that hole was always there and the kdramas temporarily fill that hole 😭
