Crap. I was under the impression that the lawyer’s son had a twin. Dang. I missed that. But yeah, I thought…
Lol 😂 I actually liken Jinyoung to him a lot. I read somewhere that people compare Jinyoung to Yoon Kye-sang, Lee Jong Hyuk, Kim Soohyun, and (I THINK?) Lee Sang-yoon. There were more I think. But I saw your icon, and it made me think about that.
I actually compared the movie’s darkness to this other dark Korean movie I watched awhile ago, and I found that…
Oh yeah, that’s what I see/hear all the time from his fans (that he plays tragic characters). I’m so glad he deviated from that. Oof. Yet, I’m glad you know what I’m talking about. Thank you.

Ah! I didn’t see your question. 😅
Answering your question, the movie is titled “Lover’s Vanished” starring Kim Nam Gil. It made me extremely sad, and I cried. What happened to the characters was so unfair, and so frustrating. Bad things kept happening - one thing after another. The ML and FL deserved better.
But thinkin’ back to it now I’ve found that those/these type of movies leave me thinkin’ about the nice moments it had and why it was still a decent movie. I’m drawn to those/these type of movies for that reason (including more reasons).
This was such a dark and sad movie. All the actors did an amazing job. I was so not ready for this movie. Truly…
I actually compared the movie’s darkness to this other dark Korean movie I watched awhile ago, and I found that this one had the “happy” ending the other one evaded.
wow. this was a lot LOT to digest at same time but the acting is really great
Yes. At first I was like, “Was it really worth the watch?” and “Did I waste about 2 hrs of my life for this?” But the more I thought about it and ruminated on the film, I found that it touched me. It had a happy ending in a realistic sense, and made me realize that vengeance isn’t ours (I mean, in a subjective kinda way. Depending on the person…yada yada yada).
This is not your typical revenge kdrama where you will see the protagonist acting like a superhero / anti hero…
I definitely agree. To be honest, I was a little disappointed at the fact that he didn’t unrealistically fight like a pro, and curse like a seasoned sailor. But it actually made sense. I even thought at one point, some people truly have it worse than others. And I’m here crying about my (small?) personal life woes.
I think this movie should get recognition based on the filming style and independent/drama look alone. Totally unexpected.
I took it to mean that the inmate at the end was hired by Moon Ja Hoon's dad to attack or kill the counselor or…
Crap. I was under the impression that the lawyer’s son had a twin. Dang. I missed that. But yeah, I thought that too. That’s why the ending didn’t feel so unfinished.
And is your profile picture/icon the guy from the 1st Gen Kpop group g.o.d?
SPOILERS AHEAD READ AT YOUR OWN RISK:To answer your questions about the spoilers 1. The Counselor is the villan…
Ah, crap! I didn’t even read this. I didn’t think anyone responded. But thank you!
SPOILERS
And I was under the impression that the twin passed out from the assault (and the counselor dumped his body in the tank out of desperation, and fear of being caught), and that the counselor died when in prison because the rich boy from the juvie center had a twin (unexpectedly), and he did what Jinyoung’s character did (or had the same motive).
And I didn’t get that the counselor loved the twin. But when I look back, I can see the delusion the counselor had.

Wow, just…wow. I mean, if anyone thought Jinyoung was just a typical Kpop idol pretty boy wanna-be actor, they’re definitely wrong. He really showed his acting chops. There’s one scene in particular where his eyes…they just show so much emotion. I just…can’t.
To be honest, I hope he takes on a bit more of these roles. They can be more or less gritty, but I don’t know. Seeing him act in the movie’s setting makes you see him as a human being.
But I also give kudos to Kim Dong Hwi, he caught my eye. Him and Jinyoung had good chemistry. Maybe they can even play friends in some other drama/movie.
Yet, I must say, if you aren’t used to seeing a lot of darkness and grittiness in Korean movies, please do prepare yourself. I’ve actually seen a lot of dark movies, and I’d rate the darkness of this one about a 7.5. But I’d rate the overall movie a 10 because of the performances and the overall moral of the story. It’s a revenge film executed in a not very typical way.
And I’ll put this all in an actual review, but it’s still fresh in my mind. So, I’ll leave it here (for now).
Thank youu! The person who uploaded was busy (maybe not, I’m not sure how these sites work)! And I ended up watching on myasiantv actually. Thanks for letting me know 😊
And I liked Kye sang a lot in “Flying Boys”.
