This is intelligent historical drama for those who are used to korean saeguk, the same used and repeated plot of korean drama might not enjoyed this. Nirvana In Fire is on different level. Like a movie, genius and very well written.
I was not as impressed by this drama as many viewers on here. The aspects that I enjoyed of it were the settings,…
I have lost faith in Korean Saeguk.Nothing is well written and beautifully done anymore. The plot in korean saeguk always involve the same political plots and the king as a puppet whereas in NIF it was very subtle and very depth on how MCS being the driven of the show.
Was Ide-san really sexually harassed Mono? or did she lied about that?
Why didn't Mono paid the lawyer's money's back?
Where the other two villains? One killed himself and the other one?
I think when she said she committed a sin it said that she fall in the trap of her emotion for that time, not physically cheating. But she made that reason for her to get divorce because she want to be stronger and learn how to survive. However it break my heart when she cried after went to the beach with Hashimoto. Either she cried because she sad of seeing her husband and felt inferior or she sad because of Hashimoto and when they went together for shopping and she ran away from his husband, what is her motive? I can't read that scene very well. But it is heartbreaking when Sugimura was so sad and kissed her daughther. He made mistake too, since the beginning of the ep many people warned him to take care of his wife first, Mori and detective x-wife but he is too engross in other people affairs to notice her wife needs the most.
Well, let me say this, I'm a person who hard to be satisfied, hate cliche plots and the same premise. However, this drama captured me from the first ep. I have to say especially for the classy, intelligent and beautiful Xiao Tong. She is sharp, soft but smart. Unlike many others female character there is no high pitching shouting, annoyance fighting or similar to that.
The plot seems cliche, but the simplicity, sincerity and how well the character is written feel real and the emotions and chemistry just so well. This episode 8 sealed my fav of this taiwanese dramas. I hope it doesn't go downhill.
It started with a bang, complexity, subtle, rawness and original storyline. However as the episodes goes I think it is intended to show what family's love means more than anything else. That is the writer direction in this drama. Although it is real but the dementia's of her mother in law really a drawback to her finding of her true self and who she really love and what she wanted to do and heading to. That plot really unnecessary but it is the plot drive that will bring HT and IR together back again. I'm a married woman and will say no to any kind of affairs but since this drama and another people's story I will give my 2 cents.
KJ and IR has sizzling chemistry and I really hope they will end up together because their path is more clearer and sharper. However, the family issues make Il Ri hesitated and realized no matter how much Kim Joon means to her she love/care for HT family more because that define herself.
That is the flaw but it is real.
And that is the intention of the writer.
If the writer wanted to show how to find one trueself or new love and new beginning he/she will written plot will driven towards her development around Kim Joon and their growing relationship and his new paths. However that is not the case. Developments more from HT family.
That is what make many people love this drama but I'm not.
But credit to the great productions, music scores, cinematography, Lee Shi Young and Kim Joon acting.
Kiko acting in this is somehow not so strong and she failed to subtle act. I like her acting in Shitsuren Chocolatier but here she is just annoying the way she portrayed her character. The other stalker girl is much more annoying and disturbing the flow of this drama and unnecessary pop out anywhere ruining the scene. I don't understand her role in this great drama. She is just badly written.
One of the most beautiful dramas I've ever seen. An amazing rare gem that highlighted sisterly love, motherly…
I think Misaki's love story aren't the arc of these dramas I felt the love story of Hizaki is important. However the main plot of this drama is the characther growth two sisters on is how well developed for both of them to find their ownselves and their own happiness. For Hizaki to suddenly want to marry Yohei will be so cliche when she aren't happy or truly love him yet. When she pretends to be marry Yohei I can't accept that. When finally she be confident of herself, make her sister happy and she herself happy than only can she have a good life. Her romance is naturally developing and have many moments too. @LMitsuki
This drama is excellent. This drama really evoke the classic feelings of classic japanese drama that I loved so much and rarely found in dramas nowadays. Romance, family bonding, sincere emotions, raw feelings, character growth all develop beautifully and realistically. I always found Japanese drama nowadays lacks something that is raw and original like classic japanese drama but this one bring it back. The spark and raw emotions. At first few episodes it just so-so but its keeps getting better and better by episodes. The scripts is very tightly written and we can feel the sincerity of the authors. Its never about a dramatic event or melodrama but always what is really going on in love bonding between two sisters. Beautiful. Still the romance is never lacking but it is truly a gem about an amazing love of a two sisters.
Why it has cut down to 7 episode. I don't believe it because of the rating or critics. Jdorama is not like Korean dramas. I can imagine in my mind what ep 8-9-19 suppose to be.

But there is certain question left unanswered
