I'm not a fan of the actors but I watched it for the story, so I watched the first 4 episodes way back when it…
It depends on what you want you are here for. If you are watching...
- For the cast/acting... I would say don't watch it. The two leads were bleh, and while side characters did make the drama better, they could not save this drama.
- For the story... If you are someone who has watched several dramas (especially law/crime dramas) and know the stuff, don't watch it: You will most likely be able to predict the story. The storyline is very predictable for a veteran of drama watching.
I also think the beginning of WYWS was really good, but the plot gets really repetitive in the middle. The ending is pretty solid, but was too late to save this drama, in my opinion.
I really agree with your review. Especially these: "On the other hand, the show looks nice, good cinematography and good soundtracks. Humor was alright. TBH the biggest plot twist for me is who was the bride at that last episode. Jesus it still giving me shiver while writing this." "LJS still can’t act panicking right."
*rofl*
I am actually surprised that you are new to kdramas and found this boring. This drama is typical imo, so people who have seen a lot of dramas will probably be able to predict what will happen next. The people who are new to drama watching think that this drama is *amazing* because they haven't seen better lol. Either that or you must be some drama writer-nim xD jk
I do have to admit, I did set the bar too high because famous actors were in it, so when this failed to live up to my expectations, I disliked this drama a lot.
While I agree that this drama is average, I don't think the comments about this character being the same as all…
I kind of think that this comment is targeted at me since I wrote about those things in my review xD Yes, his *characteristics* are really different in his dramas. However, I believe that his character is always the goody-two-shoes male lead who always comes to the rescue to the female lead of the drama.
yeah! the side characters were 10x more interesting than the two leads D:
yup, since the two main leads were so typical, I was a lot more interested in the side characters lol. I liked lil bro too! Jae Chan's care for his brother is apparent, even if they bicker all the time. So relatable! The Page Turner ship has returned. Kim So Hyun x Shin Jae Ha is OTP. yeahhhh they need a whole drama for the bromance between jae chan + his bro and suzy + kim so hyun, with no stupid fantasy going on in the back. my fav side characters were Min Sung Wook playing Lee Ji Gwang (that guy who got married at the end), that little boy who was an expert in law at the hospital, Shin Hee Min (the female prosecutor at the office), and of course, the villain (Lawyer Lee). Ahhh why did they not make Kim So Hyun a supporting character instead of a cameo?!! ㅠ_ㅠ

I totally agree with your point about Han San Hwan
His character was not interesting so I didn't think that he deserved to be the ending saver >:-|
