I dont remember the age of female lead in the drama since it's been a long time I have watched this, but since the fl also have a younger sister who is the same age as Minsuk, she might be around that 5-6 years age gap.

I think that FL role is exist to protect hwain (read: now foundation) from being destoyed by bad hand. Since her father in law asks her to stay as their family even when he's dead. That's why she just keep holding on with what she has. But I agree that her role is quite bland and not very noticeable than the other characters

Although I love the casts so much especially lee seyoung, but the story is so ridiculous in every possible way. The only good thing that came out from this drama is ost by suho, seodansogu. The ost instantly became my fav and I have repeated the mv and the ost all over again. Hope that they will be casted again in another new drama

Putting aside those things, I actually love this drama back then and still love it, because despite their age difference, minsuk still pursue sooyoung because he loves her to the point that he wants to marry her. Oh, to have a love that is never changing!

Urghh, my favorite drama ever❤️❤️ I love this show so much that I rewatched every single time if I suddenly remember of them. I am a fan of lee seyoung, and watched a lot of her dramas and by far this is the top three of the best chemistry seyoung ever had with her co-stars. While I agree the age gap is quite big between jisung and seyoung, it didn't ruin my expectation a bit. Because if you looked at the drama, jisung as a professor and seyoung as a resident, of course the age gap will be large because the professor title can only be gain after you are 30+. Well, that's my opinion. Anyway, I felt a little bit sad because the ending seems abrupt and an unexplainable on yohan's side, but well all the dramas don't have the perfect ending so I will just be satisfied with the storyline, acting and OST. Oh, and the OST is so good that I always put on the repeat🥹🫶🏻 Bye, gotta rewatch doctor john again after drama connection has ended.

I remember when this drama came out, I only watched all clips of the drama from Kocowa because it seems interesting plot by having emperor in modern drama. And I fall in love with shin sung rok in this drama because of his silliness although he's actually a very evil character. And finally on this year, I have the courage to watch the full episode of the drama and daresay that the first few episodes make my blood boil of how evil the queen dowager, emperor and his assistant. And I'm sorry, but I love the emperor and the empress so much that I don't like the loveline between empress's bodyguard😭 On episode 18 now and I hope the emperoe got his own redeemption arc cos I barely remember the ending anymore since 5 years the drama has been aired.

I think the centre of the story is junseo since the murder plot also revolves around him. So, it's best to say that junseo is the one who can make and break the friends. We see up until episode 12, sang-eui told jae-gyeong that before they (yoon-jin, jae-gyeong, joo-song) came into that school, junseo and sang-eui was a good friends and they only have each other. But since junseo is a class president, he is famous among group friends of jongsoo which consists of taejin, chihyun, yoonho). And although junseo is friend with jongsoo's group, at that time, he already became close with jaegyeong's group since junseo dated with yoonjin and they also form a club called Audiophile. So, at that time, junseo has become farther than sangeui which makes him jealous. I don't know what plot did sangeui makes, but we see the scene where they saw jongsoo's group go to kyungtae's house and set a fire which later results into kyungtae's death and that was witnessed by gyumin. Then, jongsoo called junseo to come to kyungtae's house and we don't know what happened here bcos they don't reveal much but I guess they want to shift the blame to jaegyeong since junseo maybe tell the truth to jaegyeong. But when the police came, junseo suddenly sided with jongsoo's group so I guess that's probably why jaegyeong was forced to transfer from the school due to sangeui's plot. And after jaegyeong was transfered, sangeui felt like he had to do something to make junseo came to their side again, so that's when junseo smashed the audiophile club and broke up with yoonjin. And junseo never spoke to jaegyeong's group again after that. I think that's what I concluded from all the episodes. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember I watched this drama and cry like a river because of how sad the story is. Cannot even bear to watch again due to the depressing moment in the drama that make me choke my tears😭😭 If you need a good cry, this drama is for you.

NAUR, but I really felt for Jiwon when she said that her brother is level-headed towards their family but very kind towards other people. It really making me look back towards my own family that I cried along with Jiwon. I love Jiwon as a person but maybe when in relationship I found it hard to understand her, but I hope she got a lot of love throughout this show. I will miss juyeon my sunshine, jaehyung my man, seseung and choa my girl, and cheolhyeon my brother🫶🏻
