It was not that bad. Now there are a few parts in season 2 that I kinda roll my eyes at verses season 1. Plus I liked the sets they used in the first season. To me its like they put us in another universe in this one and they recasted one of the characters that worked with the main male lead and that threw me off.

Now in season 1 I liked both of their hair styles better. Plus their housing locations. Season 2 I like how Xiao QI gets to work with perfume making more. I kinda wish they would have reused the wedding dress from the first ep. That's her trademark dress.

Well not really, you would need a deeper backstory on this show with season 1 and why it became that way. Plus ep 1 shows them getting married and its like a big spoiler to the first season. You would understand it much better watching first season.
