you will be able to enjoy sangyifan for sure. there are a few work scenes tho.
there’s also one or two scenes of side couple and grandpa in ep 17 and in ep 18 it’s a bit work related (first half of ep18) and I get you about not being interested in side characters🤣 I skip them in my first watch too and then watch their scenes when I do the occasional rewatch haha
