basically the ending is they both eff up, the FL lead seems like shes regretting (kinda)cuz the way she looks…
i kinda liked the open-ended, bittersweet ending actually. im a sucked for those, and also the realistic aspect of it. but i still think that baek yi jin randomly applying as the nyc correspondent wasn't properly justified in the show.
even though im one of those who wasn't really surprised by the bittersweet ending and was easily able to accept it and also i liked it, i do have to agree with those who are saying that byj's closure doesn't make sense and feels rushed. his sense of duty as a news reporter wasn't really convincing for me. he was clearly suffering in nyc, enough to be smoking, taking pills and depending on alcohol. when he was talking about still having hope in this world, his eyes would tell me otherwise. he also didn't seem ambitious enough as a news reporter to want to become an nyc correspondent just because people were expressing their gratitude to him.
but overall it was a fun watch :)
