It's not a sad ending as far as I remember??? They do reconcile at the end. I can tell you what happens but are…
There's a big issue in the second half where they are forced to separate but after a time skip they do end up together again. It's one of the best written scenes of a bl in my opinion, very realistic and painful. Plus the getting together after the "breakup" was 20 chapters so it was fully fleshed out too :)
OOOHHHH I don't like the brothers turned lovers scenario but I am still looking forward to this.
Just to clarify, at no point in time do either of them acknowledge each other as brothers, even going to the point of refusing to interact at home to give their parents the satisfaction of seeing them "getting along as borthers". I am usually very skeptical about the step brothers trope but I read the novel because I like the author, and I was pleasantly surprised by how they handled it
……. I don't think I have high expectations for this. The novel is wonderful but with the censorship and how difficult it would be to build the world, I am worried truly
Actually, did it or did it not pass censorship yet....so confused...
it passed but China was having a big political celebration ( at least that's what I understood) so they couldn't show a bl drama, and then now the censorship laws have become stricter so that is why it is not being aired
