We see flowers being dropped as soon as they are handed to Moth, and he doesn't even wait for the confessions to end before rejecting them, but as soon as Dean spits out a word, Moth's world slows down. If you represent a character as hard-to-get, they should've executed this well.

Yeah, I recently started watching "Boy, with caution" as well, and it's being criticized for being messy or for depicting a forbidden relationship. I'm not criticizing the show itself since I think it's pretty good. However, my concern is the 8.7 rating, which isn't even common for series that truly deserve it.

While on the other shows, they pick up one flaw and drop the rating immensely, and weak plots get hyped up as if nothing better has ever been produced. I'm watching this show and I'm not against it at all. I actually like it, but a rating this high for a not-so-special plot is absurd

Yes, I'm new here, and I genuinely feel confused. I would say the BEST series aired so far is Deep In, with a plot as deep as it can be. Even so, that series has a rating of 8.5. I'm not comparing the two, but ratings exist for a reason, and they are an important factor in attracting or deterring the audience from the series.

I'm currently watching it, and it's good ngl. However, an 8.7 rating for this series actually hurts. I've seen way better plots with very low ratings, and just because of this, many people end up not giving them a try. What's the actual reason behind this, is it because it's just popular, or am I watching a completely different series?

Ikr! If you defend the age gap, they'll go for their relationship, etc. They just need something to criticize, but it hurts when I see the ratings being dropped just because of some foolish reasons.

For the moral police in the comments section, we know this isn't right, and we never considered it to be one. But this is what it's supposed to be: messy. What's happening to them isn't right either, just because it's normalized. This is fiction, so please treat it as such and refrain from dropping the rating, since the plot, cast, and acting deserve so much more.

Jang's character is so damn relatable that I almost felt like crying. He's just so alone, although he's always surrounded by a bunch of people. I would never understand those who don't want the people they love to make mistakes, be miserable, or fail at something. What even is love if they constantly need to prove 24/7 themselves as someone they're not? Then there comes a moment where that person's facade of perfection slips, and he grasps at whatever feels safe and gives that person space to be himself, even though it's messy or forbidden. The same is happening with Jang Gi Woo. He isn't supposed to do all this, but he's just holding onto something that he has never been allowed in his life.

Then there would be no storyline, to be honest. The drama isn't actually about mental health issues but rather how they will support each other through their struggles. Also, not everyone suffering seeks therapy but finds comfort in humans they feel safe with.

This drama wasn't clicking for me at all until episode 8. I thought something was missing, and now I know why it is named 'The Missing Piece'. Shen Mo's memories played a huge part in filling that hole, and knowing the feelings of Mr. Ji has clarified the plot a lot. Although, I wanted their lovey-dovey moments to be more, I'm satisfied with what they offered and their raw feelings while ending the relationship/situationship. Last night, I watched episodes 7-10, and before watching them, I came on MDL to confirm the total number of episodes and when it will actually end because the series seemed boring to me. However, now I'm crying because it is only 15 episodes 😭

They're in the middle of an apocalypse, and people would CLING to any ounce of hope in that situation. So, even if he's been betrayed before by the same person, he'd eventually follow his lead and trust him at some point because his brother's life is at stake

I agree with this. It would've made Lin Zai a typical lead, and the plot would be considered weak. What makes this story unique is that Lin Zai doesn't trust A Lie just for the sake of romance/love. He's being practical here because no one would leave a family member behind for an uncertain future ahead. People just criticize anything without going on a deeper level with the character. No, everything can be solved with the power of love that feels uncertain. A Lie is changing, and he's taking his time. People won't let the story progress and will just keep blaming the characters in the middle of the plot.
