The perks of an arranged marriage and a green-flag, lovely father make this a good series!This show has incredible dynamics that are clearly illustrated. Khem is the shiny, energetic "husband," while Rin is the cold, distant, shy, and timid wife who tries to play hard-to-get. Watching them navigate their relationship was so soothing; their playful foreplay and the chemistry are completely captivating as their energy is everywhere.
Rin's character progression and overall growth—as she flies from her "ex-life" into her "wife role"—is especially beautiful. Her sad, messy past is no joke; it is difficult to forget or forgive, making her afraid of building a new life and trusting in love and herself for a relation again.
On the other hand, Khem is a witty charmer. Despite having her own sufferings, she is full of joy for her wife. ><
However, the storyline fell short. It was too jumpy, rushed, and felt overly minimized. Even the heavy intimate scenes, which were supposed to be a highlight, sadly failed to spark. While the main characters' daily conversations carry a cool vibe in most of the episodes, the show felt like it lacks a solid plot outside of that.
On a side note, Rin's father completely stole the show. He might be the first GL series father I have ever loved! Khem, too, is an absolute husband material. XOX

It began well but fell terribly.
I thought Lu Feng's character was a green flag until he grew up and constantly pressured sexual interaction on Yi Chen (Xiao Chen). Even when they were studying, the first time Lu Feng initiated, Yi Chen was dubious and so young. Yi Chen wasn't willing one hundred percent. He's new and, agreeably, needs time to process queer fantasies.However, the way the entire show proceeded to telecast Lu Feng's toxic masculinity and repetitive rape scenes on Yi Chen, where the latter becomes a victim of Stockholm syndrome, made this show super irritating.
To be frank, I felt Yi Chen always looked spaced out. Or as if feeling confused and sometimes nothing at all. His expressions made me not engage.
I didn't understand Yi Chen's brother's character. Although he has hidden the fact of Lu Feng writing a message to Yi Chen and asking to wait for him, he has asked Qin Lang to be his brother's boyfriend out of guilt(?). So that his brother would be happy?
This plotline truly intrigued me with the way the brother evolved from the young, straight foreigner to the rainbow community and became a part of them. Tried my best to engage with the drama he built for his brother, but it felt too toxic to hide given how he once was and still kept certain things unapologetically.
All three had suffered for his dumb act, but perhaps his young age could be given as his excuse in his defense.
Later on, the episodes seemed like a rabbit hole with Lu Feng keep circling and Yi Chen's trust and heart broken once again. Perhaps, once broken, nothing can be revived again fully.
Lu Feng broke Yi Chen's brother's leg and made the latter's mother get a heart attack. Hurt Yi Chen himself too many times. This felt crappy to the point that I didn't understand where the show was leading. Nobody's in the show; no character seemed to have a thought to talk things out, clear things up, or have some self-respect.
The only character that I could like was Qin Lang and his relation with Yi Chen's brother. At least they developed and grew together to be a healthy, understanding couple despite issues.
As though I didn't like the concept of how Lu Feng's whole personality issue—possessive, obsessive, a liar, and a stalker—was nullified/labeled for his health condition, but that was what made sense. He was indeed sick. and deserved SPECIAL HEALTH TREATMENT.
The realest and most satisfactory lines in the whole show:

"If you really love Yichen, can you learn to respect him a little? Haven't you learned your lesson after all these years?" - Qin Lang to Lu Feng
The quality of the show was extremely mesmerizing, but the plot was just meh!

A lovely design of wholesome characters!
I have disliked Aokbab when she was silent with Rin as she faced Mind so many times. She could have told Rin that she needed time and that she was still searching for closure on her past relationship. Letting Rin make moves on her while still not shutting P'Mind felt really annoying. And often she was only asking Rin to stop and go without clearing or breaking up with her ex.Upon all these, I still loved this show. It has great quality and healthy bonds.

SKYNANI did it again! With their INTENSE CHEMISTRY!!!Pete, a young unfortunate lad who has lost his career and fallen broken to life, carrying a fragment of a demon's soul, meets Niran, a mysterious shaman who can sense Yao.
Together, they venture to solve mysteries and try to capture Yao and face dark forces.
The plotline was slightly thrilling, hooking you to the essence of nature: heaven, earth, and humanity. It grounds you with its utmost moral of how life actually is and how humans could be. It teaches you that even if life is crazy—empathy, trust, patience, hope, and resilience could shape our future and us better.
KRIST did remarkably well in his evil role. I couldn't even guess it was him at the start. I loved his character regardless of anything. When he was killed by his own master, Qui Rong, whom he served with gratitude and pure worship, hoping he would take him only to face the reality of his lord's temper, I must say I was quite satisfied. It's the realness right there. No superior is capable of showing mercy, the show concluded.
Upon that, as Niran believed sealing Qui Rong was their only way, seeing him not fighting against but understanding what Qui Rong felt and respecting him was unpredictable.
"Be that heaven or demons, they're no different."
The quiet tranquility of this show is that it mentioned the crisis of evil political leaders. When there's a demon, heaven will deal with it. But when there's evil in the leader of a country, the whole country will eventually fall apart. Niran's strong, diligent nature impressed me as he further insisted on saving his country amidst danger.
There is no way I didn't love Niran and Pete's duo. Their friendship is what you could call EVERYTHING (Yes, that too! >0<) The amount of trust and support they have for each other is so honorably gratifying. They're the SOULMATES; one could give up their life for the other, no kidding.
"When someone I loved is in danger, be that my friend, my sibling, or my buddy, I do need to save them." - Pete
Their backstories are pretty potent, each moving from their doubts and diffidence. And as they deserved, each being each other's confidence in life, believing in who they are had me sobbing.
And hello, is this what they call a bro thing? Is sitting on your friend's lap, playing a silly fight with your so-called work partner whose souls are so deeply intertwined that they FEEL each other wherever they go and are, IS IT COMMON?

On the second thought, even though the CGI could have been a little better with the fog, it still entertained me.

A poorly executed plot that could have been improved
I think this show could have had a logical plot and a lot more amazing scenes. Although the girls' acting and chemistry were flawless, the plot, editing, sound quality, OST, and character development are all disappointing.The fights and toxicity are tolerable at first, but as the script progressed, they quickly became dull and irritating.
The plot seemed like a good idea, but the way it was carried out was really annoying and displeasing.

SHADES- a variety of fascinating characters
This was an amazing experience! I loved the script, storyline, characters, and acting so damn much.Each pairing left me in awe with their profound narrative and presence. Their complex characters have built the theme and essence of the entire production. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring various pairings, and it was truly worthwhile, even if they didn't end up together.
