For those who might be confused of why this is a mermaid movie, based on the mythologies of China and Japan, their ancient concept of the mermaid was more so a demon or a yokai monster instead of the typical Christian Hans Anderson take on the creature. I thank myself for watching videos on this because it made sense seeing the fish spirits on screen in this form. The "western" mermaid didn't appear in Chinese and Japanese stories until centuries later when they opened to trade with western, more so European, countries.
Now, for the reason I put the spoiler on...don't expect the giant fish on the poster to be what you actually see in the movie because by the time you see what it looks like at the end, it is absolutely not impressive. Yes, it is interesting to look at, but it's about as big as a usual catfish out in the wild, so I didn't want people's hopes to get too high. I do suggest you watch this movie anyway for the mystery and thriller aspect. The acting is also very good.
The entry looks like it's supposed to have two episodes. Very cute GL. I just finished what I think are the two episodes. Is the show over or will there be more?
The only fault I have with this drama is that the music (when played) is too loud that you can barely hear the characters speaking. Otherwise, the story itself is actually pretty good.
I'm watching this on YT from the YOUKU channel, and I'm asking for the sake of asking. Why is the audio so wonky? The FL sounds like she has a strawberry caught in her throat.
My only reason for watching this is just so I can watch Ze Hui's adorable face. Yeah, this is a cheesy mafia/spy like drama, but as long as I can see Ze Hui and the drama isn't exactly that cringe, I'll endure the 2min each episodes.
