holy shit im a year late but to answer your questions ; by that episode haru was aware of shadow/stage thing that is why he said that kyung wont remember anything bcs kyung still wasnt aware of it. and that part til kyung smashes her watch with his foot was stage but the moment haru came it was shadow , i always assume that rain was the sign that shadow has began bcs there was no click sound in that scene . and idk if you noticed it but there was an apparent change whenever shadow /stage began , the colours were more bright in shadow so yeah.
and no kyung didnt know about it all along it was majorly when haru vanished , he had his doubts specially during the camping scene but he didnt know all along. i like to think that he came to know about it during haru's absence bcs somehow apart from dan oh he also knew that someone IS missing from classes.
watched this after squid games ; i like the intensity of the show and they did the gore part really well too but became confused since the beach arc , became boring as well so skipped too much later. imo , SG>AIB for me.
