idk i think intro is very imp as it sets the mood for the drama and also serves as a first impression. i watch the entire intro atleast once for every drama but if its exceptionally beautiful, i never skip it

huh? its the cringe romance republican dramas known as dog blood dramas, but there is a vast list of extremely well made republican dramas. i myself havent watched many but i got lots of recommendations from users here, and the very few republican dramas i did watch werent like this at all. republican era is just a time period, the tone or genre is a completely separate choice, some of the most acclaimed c dramas period happen to be set in that era but are political, war, or family saga dramas, not romance at all. a lot of people have only watched the cringe ones to compare this with, which is why they assume this level of mediocrity is the norm, which isnt true at all. even within the dog blood subgenre itself, "bad" isnt universal. there are some rlly cool romance dramas set in this era
