BL adaptations don't get loud promotion at all. They usually drop trailers for shows that they are worried might get banned/cancelled on the day of the premiere. So it's totally normal that we know nothing!

I'm checking out Ode to Joy right now and she's in it too but she's better there...sort of? Still very childish but it's an ensemble cast so maybe that's why it's less upsetting.

Truer words have not been spoken! I hated this show. I tolerated it until episode 36 (which I think is when the character is supposed to become normal) and it was so pointless because she's just too terrible. Also, I have to read subtitles but she was still so annoying anyway.

Gosh, I'm on episode 32 and I'm really feeling the drag right now. This review captures it so perfectly. I'm still here just for the couple to finally get together now.

I can't disagree with you tbh. I too want it to come out and have lots of promotion but unfortunately that's not their opinion! We'll have no choice but to wait and see

Yeah, if China was bothered by WOH they would simply take the show off the internet! Apparently they did that with Guardian? So like, even if WOH starts something, it won't lead to second reviewing of another show! They'll just ban WOH or something (which I hope never happens! I love WOH! o' great Gods protect all these adaptations! lol)

WOH is a different case. The immortality production was extremely secretive. They put up a lot of barriers to prevent paparazzi photos even though most shows have unspoken agreements to let paparazzi take bts photos. there were even several physical altercations with photographers. They always wanted Immortality to be a very quiet and secretive project so they just do not go around releasing stuff. Meanwhile, for WOH, god bless their souls, there were super romantic bts photos all throughout shooting! The advertising strategy for immortality has been very quiet.

They are both high budget, anticipated shows and the airing schedule in mainland is different so they won't want the viewership to be split between the two. Whenever hxy airs, it will be the main attraction.

I think it starts at the same time but will be released slower. Most shows finish airing in China before the international channels.

I think that's fake! To be honest, none of the rumors should be trusted. There are a lot of people who start fake rumors for a bit of internet fame and just being trolls. It's best not to panic over each of these. None of the rumors so far have been true.
