Ugh
What has happened to Chinese drama? Are we only getting the dregs in the US?Third rate acting. The feeling of everyone trying too hard. Nothing feels natural.
Lack of chemistry between the leads. Could have just picked up strangers on the street and dressed them up.
Script and dialogue scream "High school drama." Are professional writers really hard to find?
Not even going to try to watch any more of this. Except for the sets, everything about this is first year college level.

Should have read the reviews first.
I really like Ren Jia Lun, have enjoyed performances of several others in the cast in other shows. Bit lukewarm about Peng Xiao Ran, probably because I've only seen her once before in a not great role. All in all, I was looking forward to this drama.BUT! Did a 12 year old write the script? So stilted, so cringe. Honestly, how did the writer convince a studio that this was good writing? No, I'm not a writer but I know what a good script sounds like. This isn't it.
When I can't get through the first episode without jumping out every few minutes I know it's not going to get better. I refuse to torture myself by watching good actors struggle.
By the way, was Ren I'll during filming? He looks gaunt.

W.T.F.?
Already don't want to watch. The opening scene is just ridiculous. And set in the wrong place at the wrong time. Is this yet another boring "time travel" show? It's a tired, overused genre. Don’t see how a giant snake can make this worth watching. XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxWas this review helpful to you?
What happened?
I went into this with semi-high expectations given the leads. I can't even get through the first episode. It's just so ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. I love Li Yi Tong, but this was painful. Was this review helpful to you?
