No, it wasn't that. As far as I know, the team was frustrated when it was taken down abruptly. Apparently, there was an issue (not sure if it was something about the quality of the videos or with the licensing) and Viki had to take it down while translation was in progress.

Absolutely agree. I hope they could do something somehow, but yes, replace the ML. From reading more reports, he does seem to be in deep sheez. Actually, I still don't know why he was chosen as ML cos I can't see the chemistry between him and YZ, nor have any desire to watch him. Perhaps, dare we dream, bring Xiao Zhan in as replacement. True. Just like Gao Yunxiang's career and "Win the World" were toast, too. Even AI was not able to revive the completely filmed and post-produced drama. But I hope this Golden Hairpin can be revived somehow. It looks too good to be shelved indefinitely. Yang Zi, don't give up hope! Please fight for a way to bring this drama to fans who have been waiting for it for a long time.

Investigation is still ongoing... Case is still open. My heart aches for Yang Zi (杨紫 我们都爱你！), and the cast and crew, of course. This drama looks darn good but is fraught with negative rumor after rumor, endlessly... Now it is banned. OMG! Sad.
